At some point, most of us ask the same question: Why does the same thing keep happening to me? We blame the circumstances, the timing, or the world around us. But what if the real shift begins not out there, but within?

Rania Kort, business advisor, transformational coach, and author, believes that perspective, not circumstance, is what defines and shapes the quality of your life. “We are not as limited as we think,” she points out. “Human free will is vast. And when we learn how to direct it, our experiences may begin to shift.”

With over 25 years of experience as a consultant and coach, Rania has seen firsthand how people can feel stuck even after reaching success. The missing piece, she says, is almost always the same: mindset.

How We See Things Creates Our Reality

Rania’s philosophy is grounded in one central idea: your perception determines your reality. Two people can walk through the same storm, but one comes out feeling stronger, the other defeated. The difference lies in how they view the storm.

“When you believe you’re powerless, you may act accordingly,” she shares. “But when you choose to see yourself as the creator of your life, not just a participant in it, you could begin to unlock an entirely different level of awareness and potential.”

This philosophy isn’t about just positivity or wishful thinking. It’s about learning to observe your thoughts, question your beliefs, and consciously recondition your mental patterns to be empowering. That’s how transformation can begin.

The Power of Habits and How They Shape Our Life

To help people move through that process, Rania developed a structured approach that begins with one essential truth: before any transformation can happen, you must first become aware of your thinking habits—those automatic patterns, often unconscious loops that influence how you perceive situations, interpret challenges, and make decisions.

Habits are formed through repetition — but repetition is driven by perspective. The way you see a situation shapes how you respond to it, and those responses, repeated over time, hardwire into automatic behaviors. For example, if your perspective is “I must avoid failure,” your habits will form around playing safe, hesitating, or over-preparing. If your perspective is “I’m capable of figuring things out,” your habits will naturally lean toward action, experimentation, and growth. The brain reinforces whatever perspective you practice most often, creating neural pathways that make certain thoughts and behaviors feel familiar and effortless. This is why shifting your perspective is so powerful: when you change the lens through which you view yourself and your life, you may naturally begin to form habits that reflect confidence, possibility, and alignment rather than fear or limitation.

This is why Rania’s approach focuses first on awareness. Once individuals can see their thinking habits clearly—without judgment—they can identify where their mindset is limiting their choices, narrowing their perspective, or reinforcing an outdated identity. Awareness becomes the turning point. It shifts people out of autopilot and into conscious creation. From there, new habits can be intentionally designed to upgrade your thinking: acknowledging what isn’t serving you, and focusing on what empowers and energizes you. These repeated shifts may become the building blocks of a more empowered mindset—one that supports healthier choices, better outcomes, and the opportunity to keep growing.

Making Growth a Choice

Transformative growth, Rania says, doesn’t always happen when life is comfortable. It happens when we’re willing to meet discomfort with courage and a commitment to change. “Growth requires courage and determination,” she explains. “It asks us to expand mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, often in ways we didn’t plan or expect.”

It often comes in the form of a strong desire, a calling, or a hardship. By choosing to respond, such openings become opportunities and invitations for deeper awareness of one’s relationship with the past, the future, problems, success, oneself, or others. This shift isn’t always loud or dramatic. Sometimes, it’s subtle: changing one thought, one belief, one choice at a time.

A Fresh Take on Resilience

When we change in this way, we may become more confident and more resilient. But Rania’s view of resilience offers a fresh take. She teaches that resilience doesn’t need pushing, enduring, or fighting life; it’s more about shifting perspective and learning to live in a higher energy. It’s learning to always see all difficulties as opportunities rather than problems, and to always focus on gratitude, optimism, and possibilities. “It’s about letting life soften you in the right way so something new can take shape,” she adds. Practices like mindfulness and visualization are also key.

A New Way Forward
