The Welcome Zone featured a curated pop-up marketplace. Among the partners was Plus1, presenting their new lifestyle app designed to help guests find a “plus one” for events, not only for romantic meet-ups but especially for collaborations and networking. Lillet Blooms & Events and Art of Flora | Flowers Atelier transformed the venue with a stunning décor concept featuring vibrant photo zones in the season’s standout color, purple. Guests also discovered Psychotic London, a niche fragrance brand showcasing innovative perfume compositions. The atmosphere of the evening was curated by DJ Atonik, who recently relocated from Los Angeles and is now a Miami resident DJ. The event also included an art showcase by talented painter Kateryna Mariien, marking her first-ever exhibition in Miami.
But that wasn’t all. The FMFW team went further by launching a special fashion podcast during the week, where participating designers were invited to discuss key topics in menswear together with host Roderick Ramirez.
Stephen Michael Oliver’s FW25 collection, “Vitamin Disco: Street Heat,” is a vibrant study in contrasts. Inspired by Miami’s daily arc, from sun-drenched afternoons to neon-lit nights, the collection merges island heat with disco decadence. Silhouettes range from fluid drape-front jackets and kimono-style robes to sharply constructed pleated trousers and utilitarian cargo joggers. A warm palette of ombré pinks, oranges, and reds echoes sunset skies, while high-contrast black-and-white graphics and shimmering sequin fabrics introduce a nocturnal edge.
Across all styles, there is a play between softness and structure. Lace-up details and cut-outs provide glimpses of skin, while oversized pockets, wrap closures, and adjustable cords nod to streetwear’s functional aesthetic. Prints draw on botanical and tropical motifs, reimagined in graphic strokes and camo-like patterns. Ombré fabrics cascade from saturated orange to blush pink, and sequins are used to catch the light without overpowering the garments. Accessories, including oversized faux-leather clutches in electric citrus shades and belt bags in sequined or reptile-embossed finishes, complete the looks, reinforcing the collection’s emphasis on movement and versatility. A sultry fusion of sun-drenched ombré hues, tropical prints, and after-dark shimmer, “Vitamin Disco: Street Heat” channels the heat and seduction of a Miami sunset into vibrant, body-conscious menswear.
Daylight Heat: The opening look pairs an asymmetrical ombré shirt with wide-leg trousers, both awash in a sunset gradient. It sets the tone for a collection rooted in warmth and ease. A drop-shoulder keyhole top adorned with a bird-of-paradise motif and 3-inch inseam shorts continue this sun-lit story, while an open-lace kimono sleeve top and matching swim brief introduce airy textures ideal for Miami’s late-summer sun, sand, and heat.
Print Play: A kimono duster robe in a palm-leaf pattern layers effortlessly over an ombré bodysuit, demonstrating how print and gradient can harmonize. This print reappears in asymmetrical cargo joggers and a lace-up bodysuit, anchoring the collection with a cohesive motif.
Sunset to Nightfall: As the lineup progresses, colors deepen, and silhouettes sharpen. A boat-neck lace-up sweatshirt meets ombré retro shorts, bridging casual comfort with subtle sexiness. The ombré cropped tank anchors a look with sequin-flecked cargo joggers and a bright faux-leather clutch, hinting at the disco influences to come.
Disco After Dark: Evening looks introduce sequins and tailoring. A mock-neck oversized tee layered over a cut-out bodysuit creates a modern pool-to-street glam uniform. A sequin-wrapped jacket top and sequin box-pleat shorts offer a playful nod to classic disco silhouettes, while the finale, an all-black draped wrap jacket top with elegantly pleated pants, delivers drama and sophistication.
“Vitamin Disco: Street Heat” celebrates the collision of streetwear with tropical exuberance. Each garment is designed to transition effortlessly from day to night, encouraging the wearer to embrace their own rhythm. Stephen Michael Oliver’s meticulous attention to drape, print placement, and tactile detail reflects a commitment to both craftsmanship and playfulness. As the label’s debut runway collection, it announces a bold new voice in American menswear – one that refuses to choose between ease and elegance, sun and glitter, function and fantasy.
The evening also featured an art showcase by talented painter Kateryna Mariien, marking her first-ever exhibition in Miami, a memorable moment met with enthusiasm by guests and media alike.
