Umbrella Academy Set to End in the Upcoming Season 4

Netflix has renewed hit TV series “The Umbrella Academy” for a fourth and final season as confirmed by the show’s executive producer, Steve Blackman.

The creator, executive producer, and showrunner of the series, Steve Blackman, said, “I’m so excited that the immensely dedicated fans of ‘The Umbrella Academy will be able to see the fitting finale to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago.”

With intentions to collaborate on various new projects, Netflix has also revealed its overall agreement with Blackman and his recently established Irish Cowboy production organization. A series adaptation of the PlayStation game “Horizon Zero Dawn” and the original series “Orbital” are two that are already in production. The following provides more details about those initiatives. In addition, Abbey Morris has also joined Irish Cowboy as Blackman’s senior vice president of development. Morris previously worked at Fabrik Entertainment as an executive.

Netflix did not address season 4’s episode count; however, some reports claim that it will be less than the previous 10-episode seasons of the show. The third season of “The Umbrella Academy” debuted on Netflix in June. Seasons 2 and 1 will follow in 2020 and 2019, respectively. The television program is based on the same-named comic novel by Gabriel Bá and Gerard Way. It centers on an adopted family of superpowered children who is attempting to avert the end of the world.

For Season 4, the cast will once again include Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castaeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore. In addition, Jesse McKeown will work as an executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Blackman, who will continue to act as the show’s creator. Along with Way and Bá, the show’s executive producers are Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Scott Stuber, and Beau Bauman. The studio is called UCP.

According to Blackman, Irish Cowboy productions like “Orbital” and “Horizon Zero Dawn” are elevated, event-level works built on beloved, relatable characters.
