American pianist Belle Chi has been officially welcomed into the international Young Steinway Artist Family, a distinction conferred by Steinway & Sons in recognition of her artistic achievement, professionalism, and contributions to the performing arts.
The Steinway Young Artist designation is awarded to a select group of emerging musicians who demonstrate exceptional artistry, musical maturity, and a serious commitment to the highest standards of performance. While distinct from the Steinway Artist roster, the program serves as an important early acknowledgment of artists poised for significant international careers.
Through this appointment, Belle Chi joins the lineage of artists historically associated with Steinway & Sons, including Martha Argerich, Evgeny Kissin, Lang Lang, Murray Perahia, Mitsuko Uchida, Igor Levit, and Yuja Wang, as well as legendary figures such as Vladimir Horowitz, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Arthur Rubinstein, Duke Ellington, Nina Simone, and Igor Stravinsky.

At 17, Belle Chi has already earned over 20 first prizes in international piano competitions, performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, and maintains an active international performance schedule.
Reflecting on the recognition, Belle Chi shared, “I am overjoyed and deeply grateful to be named a Young Steinway Artist. It is both an honor and a responsibility. Steinway represents a legacy of artistic integrity and excellence, and being included in this community motivates me to approach my work with even greater thoughtfulness, discipline, and respect for the music.”

Her inclusion as a Steinway Young Artist marks an important milestone in her artistic journey and reflects Steinway & Sons’ continued commitment to supporting the next generation of distinguished pianists.
