As Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) have been popping up by the hundreds, it is indeed high time to organize an event dedicated to the hard-working artists beyond today’s highly-successful digital assets. Hence, NFT NYC threw the first annual conference and awards ceremony to amplify the talents in the NFT space, and Micha Klein emerged as the Best Digital NFT Artist among the pool of creatives nominated for the award.
The NFT NYC event of 2021 happened earlier in the month and welcomed over 5,500 attendees, from NFT enthusiasts, founders, holders, and, of course, artists. The event went viral on Twitter with over 100,000 tweets and was made possible through 135 sponsors.
NFTs have been on a rapid yet steady rise and penetrated the mainstream arena. This year alone, NFTs have dominated virtually every corner of the Big Apple, gathering creators, collectors, enthusiasts, and various individuals to the first-ever NFT-dedicated event celebrating the revolution of blockchain art.
Micha Klein has long been amplifying his name in the digital art world. He was the first to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Graphics and has received many honorable mentions, awards, and features for his unique works featured across museums and prominent platforms. Additionally, Micha has worked with the likes of Coca-Cola and Disney.
Making his way into the NFT landscape, Micha Klein is the creative force behind the highly coveted Pillman characters, created with many different traits. As the powerhouse behind the collection, critics, holders, and artists have recognized Micha as an unstoppable and vital proponent in the industry.
Besides the Pillman characters, Micha Klein has also showcased his talents through other masterpieces and collections. Stardust Series, Arrival of the Rainbow Children, Club Love International Army, and Artificial Beauty Series, to name a few. But out of all his creations, it was the Pillman characters that truly propelled his name not only at the top of the digital art world but paved the way for him to enter the field of NFTs.
Awarded as the Best Digital NFT Artist at the NFT NYC 2021 is by far one of Micha Klein’s most significant milestones. With the prominence of blockchain art, artists like Micha get to have an avenue for their unique creativity and give them the audience their talent deserves. While many were speculating that NFTs would not live as far as it has today, the success of such artists has definitely proved them wrong. Art is no longer limited to only being works on canvas or any other medium. Now more than ever, as the world transitions into a more digitalized era, virtual and blockchain artists have more space for themselves, and Micha Klein is genuinely making the most of it.
Micha Klein went head to head with three other contestants to compete for the title of the Best Digital NFT Artist of the year. He was chosen by the majority of the NFT community and cemented his name down history as the first-ever winner for the category.
