The comedian and actor, who is most known for his role as Danny Tanner on Full House, has died at the age 65. His family released a statement confirming this news today.
“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today,” said the Saget family in a statement. “He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Saget’s dead body was discovered in a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes on Sunday.
“The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” read the Sheriff’s statement.
The Sheriff’s Office has not revealed the cause of death yet, but they say it will be discovered once a medical examiner performs an autopsy on him.
Saget has been on a comedy tour. The comedy tour came to Ponte Vedra Beach on Saturday night. He performed at the requisite date and time, as per his Twitter account.
“Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this s—t,” he tweeted after the show.
The news of Bob Saget’s sudden passing shocked many co-stars and fans. He was a renowned comedic star that will be missed by everyone who knew him well.
“I am broken. I am gutted,” Stamos wrote in a tweet. “I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”
Dave Coulier also expressed his feelings on his former co-star’s death saying, “I’ll never let go, brother. Love you.”
Saget has been in the industry for decades, working on various TV shows. His resume includes being a narrator and future Ted Mosby of “How I Met Your Mother” until it ended last 2014 with his own podcast that he launched called “Bob Saget’s Here For You.”
