Giving back to others has always been at the core of Australian business coach Rashid Mubashir’s identity. He has now built it into an award-winning business coaching program.
The Sydney-based entrepreneur has spent the past six years developing his holistic approach to business coaching, which starts with self-reflection.
While traditional business scaling techniques of strategic planning, sales growth, and marketing psychology are elements of Mr Mubashir’s approach, they are secondary to self-leadership and emotional intelligence – the two skills he regards as crucial to business success.
“The key is to invest in yourself,” said the award-winning coach.
“If you focus on investing in your most important mental real estate – which is the mind and ability to lead as a business owner – you can succeed in leading and managing others to achieve their potential and contribute to the business only to the extent you invest in yourself.”
“Everything else, including increased sales, better marketing, efficient teams are all byproducts of inspiring and transformational leadership.”
The model comes from a place of experience for the award-winning coach.
At 18, he arrived alone in Australia with $1000 of borrowed funds in his pocket. It was a massive cultural shift from his home in Pakistan, where he lived on the edge of a slum with his family of four on just $50 per week.
With limited skills and uncertainty about his future weighing heavy, Mr Mubashir quickly spiralled into depression which led him to the edge of taking his own life in 2014.
“My mother used to say ‘make a positive difference in this world’. For all of that, I am forever thankful to her,” he said.
“Here is the thing, despite the extreme challenges of my childhood. I always knew that there was something more to life.”
“I will forever be grateful to have been in that place.”
The four philosophies he teaches people to reach their goals begin with establishing a leader’s mindset. Clients are then invited to build a “Business Transformation Strategy” before then creating an actionable plan and measurable goals to track where they are going. From there, he coaches on how to maximize performance and execution.
“Most business coaches focus on strategies, taking action and execution to achieve results. It works, but only in the short term. It is not sustainable without an integrative leadership and culture,” Mr Mubashir said.
“On the other hand, I take a holistic approach that not only helps the business grow but really enables personal transformation for the business owner and their team members. I believe that our external results are a reflection of our internal growth that helps us stand out.”
The business coach has developed a range of programs based on his business mindset philosophy and often speaks at conferences, workshops and keynote events on his path to success.
Mr Mubashir was recently recognised as the 2020 Business Coach of the Year by the International Coach Guild for his contribution to the local business community in helping people grow their business whilst upholding the highest coaching and leadership standards.
His three most popular programs – Entrepreneurial Evolution Program™, Business Accelerator Framework™ and Business Performance Maximizer™- focus on bringing together executive coaching, psychology, hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming, and entrepreneurial studies to create a multi-dimensional business methodology that streamlines a business owners path to creating a five or six-figure business.
Mr Mubashir is currently offering free advice through his online Facebook community for entrepreneurs, business leaders and owners who want to scale their businesses, create more freedom and impact.
