In 2024, Los Angeles-based music producer Chengcheng Tang was invited to join the Recording Academy, marking a significant milestone in his rising career. This prestigious honor is one of many that reflects Tang’s growing influence as a music producer and songwriter, with his work already reaching millions through popular television shows, global streaming platforms, and collaborations with artists.
Over the past three years in LA, Tang has become a key player in the entertainment industry, contributing to the soundtracks of reality TV favorites like Love is Blind (Netflix), Vanderpump Rules (Bravo TV), and Jersey Shore (MTV). His ability to blend musical styles to create compelling soundscapes has made him a go-to collaborator for major networks and brands. “Los Angeles is at the heart of the global entertainment industry, and working here allows me to be part of a vibrant, creative ecosystem that pushes boundaries,” Tang says.
In addition to his work in television, Tang has also worked with a variety of U.S.-based and international artists. His collaboration with Bulgarian singer Liya on the track Stupid for Your Love garnered widespread attention when Liya performed the song on Bulgarian TV shows like Before Noon and Sreshti. Tang’s work on Alex Ritchie’s single Blueprint, which gained traction on iHeartRadio, as well as his collaborations with rising stars like Christen Morrell and Makena—both of whom landed on Spotify playlists—highlight his ability to produce songs that resonate with diverse audiences. Known for his creative approach, Tang has quickly become recognized as a versatile and forward-thinking producer in the pop, electronic, dance, and R&B genres.

Behind the scenes, Tang has contributed to projects that have achieved millions of streams globally. As a producer assistant for multi-platinum producer Ryan McMahon, Tang worked on tracks for artists such as Faouzia and Trevor Daniel, shaping songs that have become streaming hits. “The collaborative energy in LA is unparalleled. Tang’s reach extends beyond television and artist collaborations. He has worked with some of the industry’s well respected songwriters and producers, including Jesse Thomas, a three-time Grammy nominee with over a billion streams across platforms, and producer Mark Kraus, who co-produced songs from Omar Apollo’s latest album. Tang is also collaborating with rising star Keenan Te, who has 1.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, further establishing his network within the music industry.
Tang has been pitching and writing songs for the K-pop industry through publishers like Brill Building, Honua, and Ultra, helping him gain traction in the competitive world of K-pop. He has also teamed up with songwriters from Position Music, pushing creative boundaries in a global marketplace.
Tang’s music has been featured in commercial campaigns for leading global brands, highlighting his broad industry appeal. His work with Musicmind Co. and West One Music Group continues to establish him as a trusted name in U.S. music production, known for his ability to meet tight deadlines while exceeding expectations.

Despite his growing international presence, Tang emphasizes how crucial his base in Los Angeles has been in driving his success. “LA has provided me with opportunities to work on such a wide variety of projects, from TV shows to commercial campaigns and artist collaborations. It’s where I’ve really honed my craft and made my mark in the industry,” he explains.
Tang’s contributions to the music industry have not gone unnoticed. He has been a semi-finalist in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition and was awarded a Gold Award from the Audio Engineer Society in the Modern Recording category. His ability to seamlessly merge production and songwriting has become a hallmark of his work, helping him stand out in a competitive field.
