COVID-19 is not a Roadblock to Chris Mar Music

For some, music is mostly for entertainment purposes only, but it is their saving grace for others. Music, just like other forms of art, is the soul’s language, wherein messages are transcended with the right combination of words and tunes. Chris Mar is one of the artists who was saved by the power of music.

At a young age, Chris has always been a musician, creating beats and lyrics in their home in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up with two brothers and two sisters, and him being a twin, with the love and support from his parents. For his mother, they were a great blessing since she had trouble conceiving, which is why his father worked two jobs to provide.

Despite the love he feels at home, there were instances wherein he was led astray by peers and other external influences. As part of his search for belongingness, he started to develop vices that were detrimental to his health, under his friends and neighbors’ impact. However, after these trying times, Chris knew that this is not him, that he can do valuable things with his life, and will not stick to this lifestyle that may significantly affect his son’s life.

His son’s welfare is one of Chirs’ major wake-up calls, which led him to move to a better environment wherein he can focus on his music and providing for his son. At the beginning of his journey, Chris had to work a 10-hour job to live comfortably enough while creating music on the sides. However, he knew he was not cut out for this. The flames of passion he had for music grew stronger and brighter to the point where he decided to take the leap of faith and focus on his craft.

Chris Mar started to record songs and create fantastic music videos by harnessing the potential and creativity that was with him all along. Recently, he released a music video for the song Bella, which is available on YouTube. In collaboration with various models and artists, he creates works of art to make his audience ask for more.

At the onset of this pandemic, Chris was affected so that the recording studio he works with had to close temporarily. He had a rough time at first and thought this is a significant block in the road, but he knew where he stands and where he is heading. Chris Mar started to look for ways to be productive even if he’s stuck at home. Hence, he got in touch with artists through Fiverr. Then, they worked on new beats to be recorded when the studio is up and running again.

Indeed, two things are vital in one’s success, which is love and inspiration. These things are in Chris Mar’s possession in the form of a passion for music and creating, which he harnesses thanks to his mentor and engineer SoundGuyMike, an inspiration in his son’s form and wanting to provide the best for him and his family.
