The business world is on the rise. Entrepreneurs, both small and large, dot the cities of practically any state in the United States. The phenomenon is not surprising. A myriad of factors contributes to the steady rise in the number of business people in the field. A survey reveals that the US had more than 30 million enterprises last year.
Like any venture, some businesses fail while others follow the path of improvement and profit maximization. It takes a great deal of knowledge and personal motivation to run a business and ultimately sustain it. The competition in the business world makes it even harder for start-up businesspeople to compete with companies that are already in the market for several years. To add, patronage of clientele takes effort to build up.
Owing to this hurdle, professionals like Josh Gorra come in the picture. For 20 years, Gorra coached hundreds of entrepreneurs about the ins and outs of business and finance through a brand he founded, Destination Driven LLC. He believes that success largely depends on the mindset of an individual. That is what he intends to apply to all his sessions and consultations with start-up businesspeople or struggling ones.
Having received degrees in Entrepreneurship and Financial Service Management at Johnson & Wales University, Gorra reaches out to entrepreneurs who want their businesses to survive and prosper. His 10 principle mindset provides a progressive outlook and motivation for entrepreneurs in the field. The principles effectively conjure the drive within the individual and channel it to kickstart a company grounded by a positive mindset and unwavering thirst for efficient service.
Originally from Lawrence, Massachusetts, now living in Rhode Island, Gorra commits to a lifetime devotion in serving others. The brand that Destination Driven LLC wants to project is one that leads clients towards success.
The burning passion of Gorra to help entrepreneurs stems from gratitude that he backtracks to his childhood. When he was ten years old, he got involved in an accident that had him hospitalized for two long grueling months. Hit by a car and clinically dead for three whole minutes, Gorra miraculously survived the incident. After hospitalization, he went on with his life as a 6th grader. Even with 25 painful stitches on the head, the accident did not frighten him or stop him from going on with his life. On the contrary, he made a profound decision out of it instead – a mission for changing lives one at a time. One important question kept coming up in his mind which was, “what is my purpose? Why did I get a 2nd chance?.” That is what ultimately led Mr. Gorra into financial services & creating Destination-Driven LLC.
Like how the childhood incident changed his perspective, Destination Driven LLC, since then, advocates to positively mold the view of clients and ready them for a world that Gorra studied for years.
“I provide a checklist, a system that helps organizations maximize their sales professionals talents each day,” stated Gorra. “If the mindset is not fully intentional about who we are & what we do, it is impossible to be 100% who you were created to be.” You can feel the passion when you hear him speak, isn’t that why entrepreneurs go into business?
In the coaching sessions with clients, he provides a safe space for budding entrepreneurs to master a concept that helped him both professionally and personally – the time value of life. Mr. Gorra treats his clients with meticulous attention to detail, respect, & undivided attention because he is sincere to his promise of change. As an effect, clients train to become prepared & confident for whatever the business world has in store for them. “We will all face challenges personally & professionally. It is not how many times you fall that is important, it is how many times you get up & learn from life’s lessons to persevere.” His book “Start with Gratitude, 10 principles to Maximize EACH day” is scheduled to be released this summer.
