Cosmetic surgery is a highly advanced medical practice, and it comes with a growing demand. As advancements continue, thought leaders continue to pave the way with innovations that propels the industry forward. One such trailblazer is Dr. Adel Quttainah.
Dr. Quttainah is the founder of the well-esteemed Quttainah Medical Center. It started in 2016, and patients and practitioners alike have looked to the premier facility as a golden standard of aesthetic cosmetic surgery. Dr. Adel has had over twenty years of experience in the area of cosmetic medicine. He is well-known in many medical circles in the Middle East and beyond.
An internationally trained cosmetic and reconstructive microsurgeon, Dr. Adel has become a highly sought after practitioner with exposure to various approaches to diverse aesthetic surgery cases. As one of the very few consultant microsurgeons that performs free tissue transfer with perforator flaps in the Middle East area, it’s only natural that his reputation often precedes him.
Dr. Adel Quttainah first received training at the University of Ireland. He would later move to Ontario, Canada, to pursue a five-year residency program at McMaster University. He would focus mostly on plastic and reconstructive surgery throughout his residency and then join the University of Toronto for a microsurgery fellowship after graduating.
While pursuing his fellowship, he would focus mostly on cases of breast reconstruction using free tissue transfer and perforator flaps and free muscle transfer for facial reanimation post-facial paralysis. His ground-breaking mastery would later lead to an aesthetic fellowship with Dr. Lloyd Carlsen in Woodbridge, Ontario, and a clinical research fellowship with Dr. James Bain at the Hamilton General Hospital in Ontario.
After a season of practice in Canada, Dr. Adel returned home to the Middle East to continue his practice there. In 2003, the cosmetic surgery doctor would go on to lead the Plastic Surgery Department at SAAD Hospital in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Later on, Dr. Adel Quttainah would start his own practice, the Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, which he launched in Kuwait. The practice would become one of the first aesthetic surgery clinics in the country.
The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic would also become the first in the world to offer both cosmetic medicine and cosmetic surgery. The model proved to be successful as it provided patients with a one-stop shop for all aesthetic surgery needs. Many practices would follow suit and start adapting Dr. Adel’s model of practice.
Dr. Adel’s first surgery practice later expanded its offerings to Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Dermatology, Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT), LVR Clinic (Cosmetic Gynecology), Surgical Weight Loss (Bariatric Surgery), Non-Surgical Weight Loss and Diet Department, Laser Clinic, Skin Care and Anti-Aging Clinic, and a Hair Care and Transplantation Clinic.
Later, Dr. Adel would move on to establish the Quttainah Medical Center. The cosmetic surgery expert today provides hands-on oversight on the development for the practice. He continues to direct most of the center’s operations to ensure that each patient receives nothing but the best standard care and service.
Dr. Adel Quttainah continues to pave the way for aesthetic surgery practitioners in the Middle East and all over the world. As a true innovator and trailblazer, his work continues to inspire practitioners and bring satisfactory results to patients.
