Biohacking is a hot topic in today’s society, teaching people to heal themselves & to become the medicine they seek: How does one truly live in a state of optimal health & well-being? Cultures & famous philosophers have studied this since ancient times, and modern-day thought leaders talk about the same thing. And it’s always doing the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason. Yet, the world gets full of disease, mental health & suicide rates are higher than they’ve ever been, and people are still seeking the outside world for the answers to what only what Dr. Evan Johnson has to say, “the innate intelligence inside of them, knows exactly what to do.”

Billions of dollars get spent each year on discovering new methods of being & staying healthy. The biohacking industry will be a multi-billion dollar industry in the coming years. So, we all come to the point of wondering what is next. Recently, we asked Dr. Evan Johnson, Doctor, 3x published author, and peak performance & accountability coach, his take on this, and here’s what he said.

“I had my own practice for years and wasn’t fulfilled. I needed to discover what else was out there for the mind, body & spirit. I needed to discover the edges of healing, travel the world, and see what was possible. My intuition told me that it would be way more than what I learned in school, and I was going to get some beautiful & lovely gifts to support me on my path. And it always led me to the same understanding that utopian societies & wisdom keepers have always shared. The body is designed to heal itself; it doesn’t need anything from the outside world. It just needs no interference. Now, in biohacking & peak performance, we take it even further.”

“It’s not enough to just get back to the old ways of health & healing,” says Dr. Evan. “We need to infuse the edges of modern science with ancient wisdom and rewrite the entire paradigm of health.”

Biohacking is focused on human enhancement and utilizing daily habits, routines, practices, technology, and even supplements to change an individual’s physiology & genetic makeup for the betterment of health & well-being. Researchers and high-performance coaches study the same state in peak performance, but we focus on sustainability. The purest of flow, heightened consciousness, and peak states are similar to states of enlightenment and stories of the great mystery of life. As humans, we are constantly evolving and reaching new levels of existence. Could biohacking be accelerating the process?

“At the end of the day, healing at any level is an inside-out job.” Says Dr. Evan. He shares his story of opening his practice with $6 in his pocket, having great success, and still feeling like people were relying on him. “Even when people start to see results or the pain goes away, it’s still about who they become, and the daily habits, routines, & rituals they have that will keep them healthy. Each person must become the medicine they seek and become more aware of their lifestyle and how it can prevent themselves from being sick, getting hurt, and maintaining a state of optimal health & well-being.”

Dr. Evan left traditional healthcare to help people become the medicine. In that process, he decided to write his first book, create a few online courses, and explore the concepts of “Utopian Medicine” as he calls it. The book explores all concepts of the neuroscience of psychedelics to modern concepts of psychology, inner child work, and much more.

There are a lot of different ways for people to experience healing. But, at the deepest level, it is an opportunity for healing, expansion, and much more. To become the medicine, one must recognize that the treatment is inside of us, all around us, in the people, places, and things we experience, the food we eat, the conversations we have, and the movements we make with our bodies.

At the end of the day, each person has their own truth. Not the truth of society or other people, but theirs. This includes their perceptions and assigned meanings about who they are and how they appear in the world. The basis of health is built on these foundations. If we combine this with the power of belief and how belief can shift biochemical reactions in the body, healing can happen at miraculous levels.

It can be no other way, and it wouldn’t be a billion-dollar industry if there wasn’t some truth. But what do I know, I’m a doctor.
