Dr. Faustino da Rosa Junior has become a name synonymous with innovation in education technology, particularly in Latin America. Originally a prominent lawyer in Brazil, Dr. Faustino has transitioned into a trailblazing entrepreneur who is now turning his attention to revolutionizing the way professionals in the United States engage with continuous learning.

Before making waves in the tech world, Dr. Faustino built a solid career in law, specializing in Digital Law, Business Tax Law, and Constitutional Law. His expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments gave him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age. “Law taught me how to think critically and approach problems from multiple angles,” he says. “But as I watched the digital revolution unfold, I saw an opportunity to apply these skills to something that could have a broader impact—education.”

This realization led to the creation of FGMED in 2016, a platform designed to address the growing need for high-quality continuing education among medical professionals in Brazil. What began as a focused initiative quickly expanded into the largest EdTech platform for medical education in the country. “We knew there was a demand for accessible, reliable educational resources, especially in the medical field where staying current is critical,” Dr. Faustino explains. “FGMED was our answer to that demand, and it resonated with doctors across Brazil.”

The success of FGMED has been remarkable. The platform has enabled countless medical professionals to access up-to-date educational content, no matter where they are in the country. “Our goal was to remove the barriers to continuing education, whether those were geographical, financial, or logistical,” Dr. Faustino says. “The feedback we’ve received from users has been incredible—they’re telling us that FGMED is changing the way they practice medicine, and that’s the most gratifying part of this journey.”

With FGMED firmly established as a leader in Latin America, Dr. Faustino has now set his sights on the U.S. market. The decision to expand into the United States was not made lightly; it was driven by a clear recognition of the unique challenges and opportunities the American market presents. “The U.S. is a different beast altogether,” Dr. Faustino acknowledges. “It’s a highly competitive market with its own set of expectations and regulatory hurdles. But the need for high-quality continuing education is universal, and we believe FGMED can fill that gap.”

Dr. Faustino’s approach to entering the U.S. market is methodical and strategic. He understands that success in the American landscape requires more than just transplanting a successful model from another country—it requires adaptation and innovation. “We’re not just bringing FGMED to the U.S.; we’re tailoring it to meet the specific needs of American professionals,” he explains. “We’ve spent a lot of time studying the market, understanding its nuances, and ensuring that what we offer is both relevant and valuable.”

In addition to his work with FGMED, Dr. Faustino also leads FG Investments, a venture capital firm that focuses on nurturing startups with the potential to drive significant social impact. “Innovation has always been at the core of what I do,” he says. “With FG Investments, I’m looking for startups that are not just profitable but also have the potential to change lives for the better.”

As FGMED prepares for its U.S. launch, Dr. Faustino is excited about the future. He sees the expansion not just as a business opportunity but as a chance to continue the mission that has driven him from the start—to use technology to break down barriers and empower professionals through education. “We’ve seen what FGMED can do in Brazil, and we’re confident that we can replicate that success in the U.S.,” he says. “But more than that, we’re excited to see how we can evolve and grow as we take on new challenges and explore new markets.”

Dr. Faustino da Rosa Junior is not just an entrepreneur; he’s a visionary who is constantly looking ahead and searching for the next way to make a positive impact. With his sights set on the U.S., the next chapter of his journey promises to be as groundbreaking as the last.
