Recently, Dr. Gaines gave a Mid-Year Motivational Message to students of Shorecrest High School. His keynote emphasizes starting the day with positive thoughts, leading to significant actions, habits, and purpose, while also highlighting the importance of love as the root of greatness and purpose.

“We were so happy to welcome him to our school after having this assembly postponed many times since March 2020,” teacher Johanna Phillips said. “Dr. Gaines was able to connect with many of our students through his speech. I saw our students riveted by his storytelling and nodding along, acknowledging the powerful reminders John brought to our school today. After the assembly, hundreds of students came to talk to Dr. Gaines and thank him for his speech.”

Despite facing extreme adversity as a child, he refused to give up and instead used his experiences to drive him toward success. His story is a testament to the power of perseverance, and his work as a professional speaker, author, leadership consultant, and mentorship expert has helped countless people overcome their own obstacles and achieve their goals.

Dr. Gaines’ keynotes are tailored to meet the unique needs of students. In “PUSH: Persevere Until Something Happens,” he shares his own journey of hopelessness and how he overcame the odds to become successful.
