The August 2023 issue of the Los Angeles based magazine has been released, featuring model Elizabeth Pipko on the cover. Pipko is seen on the cover, photographed by celeb-favorite photographer, Craig Ambrosio, in a handmade top composed of crystals and white trousers.

The model, featured in the August Issue called “Different Directions,” discussed everything from food to fashion, as well as her recent Web3 Holocaust remembrance project with the magazine.

Discussing her recent graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, Pipko pointed out that the program she attended had a focus on nonprofit work, something she knew she wanted to be involved in from a young age.

She told the magazine, “I went through a very dark time when I was about 17 years old, during which someone recommended to me that I start regularly volunteering. It was then that I really got into the nonprofit space and decided that this was going to be a big part of my life and future.”

Pipko also discussed her love for culinary arts and the passion for cooking which she says she found during the pandemic. Pipko plans on continuing her culinary education and eventually opening a “French-American Brasserie” she says. She also pointed out her love of sushi, something she says most of her social media followers are most likely already aware of, thanks to her regular posts featuring the Japanese cuisine.

Pipko, who began modeling at seventeen years old with Wilhelmina Models, told the outlet, which regularly highlights “it” trends in luxury and beauty, that her current favorite fashion trend is sheer pieces. She revealed Fendi’s /Winter 2022 collection as her inspiration and noted that she is currently loving the brand, AFRM.

The model also discussed her viral anti-photoshop Vizcaya Swimwear campaign from a few years ago which she says meant a lot to her and would be something she would be willing to participate in again.

“I think being transparent about not only realistic body image standards, but also realistic lifestyles and experiences can be super important these days where social media completely takes over everyone’s lives and convinces young people that there are certain standards out there that they must live up to which simply aren’t true.”

When it came to discussing the modeling industry, Pipko told the magazine that she believes “the modeling industry has gone through changes lately because the world has encouraged those changes across all fields.”

“I’m not sure if everyone is on board, but I do think and hope that eventually those changes will begin to benefit everyone in the industry.”

Pipko also chatted with the magazine about her unique Web3 global Holocaust remembrance project which she launched earlier this year. Telling the magazine, “The goal of the project was not simply to be another digital Holocaust Museum, but to provide the tools to enable individuals anywhere in the world, who wouldn’t otherwise have the resources, to be able to contribute to the preservation of the history of the Holocaust.

It is unmistakable why this issue was titled “Different Directions” as Pipko seems to happily find herself with the opportunity to follow many different paths moving forward. Asked what she sees herself doing in the future, Pipko explained that she is going to focus on lending her voice once again to the different conversations going on in our culture.

She told the magazine, “It’s tough these days to insert your voice into major conversations without fear of some kind of blowback, but I do think it’s an important thing to do when you have any sort of platform or following.”

She cited Bill Maher as one of her inspirations, stating “I really admire those that seem to have always been able to be honest both with their audiences and with themselves and to keep people informed and entertained along the way.”

“Luckily there’s always someone to look up to and learn from in the world we live in today.”
