Los Angeles hosted one of the most exciting art events of the year with the return of Frieze Los Angeles, an annual showcase that transforms the city into a hub of contemporary creativity. This year’s event was filled with inspiring exhibits, thought-provoking installations, and a powerful sense of community, solidifying LA’s place as a global center for the arts. Among the standout showcases was MASH Gallery’s “À Gogo III”, an immersive exhibition curated by the gallery’s visionary founder, Haleh Mashian.
“À Gogo III” at MASH Gallery: A Fusion of Art and Purpose
One of the most highly anticipated exhibitions of Frieze Los Angeles, “À Gogo III” opened its doors on February 20, 2025, at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Transforming a sprawling 13,000-square-foot space into a vibrant celebration of artistic expression, the exhibition drew over 1000 guests on its opening night. Attendees had their first look at an extraordinary collection of works by both emerging and established artists while engaging in an evening of conversation, connection, and creativity.
Curated by Haleh Mashian, the founder of MASH Gallery, “À Gogo III” brings together a diverse selection of local, national, and international artists, each contributing a unique voice to the exhibition. Featured artists include Andrew Myers, Vanessa Barragão, Tim Fowler, Alina Shimova, Maico Camilo, Keerthana S Kumar, and many more. Their works span multiple mediums, from striking mixed-media pieces to evocative sculptures, all reflecting the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary art.
“À Gogo III is a celebration of creativity and artistic expression, bringing together diverse voices and perspectives in a space where art and design intersect,” said Mashian. “We’re thrilled to welcome the community to this vibrant showcase during Frieze Los Angeles and beyond.”
Giving Back Through Art
On top of its artistic merit, “À Gogo III” carried a meaningful philanthropic mission. MASH Gallery will dedicate 10% of its exhibition profits to LA Wildfire Relief, an organization focused on supporting communities affected by the devastating wildfires across Los Angeles. This initiative underscores the gallery’s commitment to using art as a vehicle for positive change, ensuring that the exhibition has an impact beyond the walls of the Pacific Design Center.
A Landmark Setting for a Landmark Show
Marking an evolution of the “À Gogo” series, which previously found success at the W Hotel, this latest installment takes advantage of the Pacific Design Center’s expansive and architecturally striking venue. Situated in the heart of West Hollywood from February 20th through March 20th, the center provides the perfect setting for a dialogue between art and design, fostering a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of creative disciplines.
Among the standout works are “Bleached Coral” by Vanessa Barragão, a textile-based piece that brings attention to environmental themes, and “My Wonderful Self” by Maico Camilo, which explores themes of identity and self-perception.
