Los Angeles, CA – Gina Vallance, a dedicated author, social entrepreneur, and empowerment workshop leader, has launched a heartfelt campaign to support Remell Tillis, a cherished member of the Los Angeles community, during her time of crisis. Known for her kindness, humor, and strength, Remell is facing a series of daunting challenges that have left her in urgent need of financial assistance.
Over the past few months, Remell has been grappling with severe health issues. She has experienced significant weight loss, extreme fatigue, and an inability to eat. Despite undergoing numerous medical tests to determine the cause, the diagnostic process has been agonizingly slow. As a result, Remell has been unable to work and is not receiving disability benefits. Having recently returned to work after hand surgery, the financial strain has been immense, particularly with the rising costs of living in Los Angeles.
Adding to her health concerns, Remell is the primary caregiver for her five grandchildren, ages 5 to 12, who have already faced unimaginable hardships, including a pitbull attack and surviving a drive-by shooting. The family is now on the brink of homelessness as their home is in foreclosure, and Remell’s car requires a costly transmission repair. With no means of transportation, she relies on expensive rides for essential errands and medical appointments.

Gina Vallance states, “Remell is a beacon of faith and resilience, and it breaks my heart to see her struggle. She deserves to focus on her health and her grandchildren without the constant fear of losing their home. I am also donating 100% of sales of my blank art journal titled, ‘Lyric’ to Remell’s cause. You can find the art journal here: Lyric.”

As the creator of WhimziePop Empowerment, Gina Vallance is no stranger to making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. WhimziePop Empowerment, created by this social authorpreneur, middle-grade writer, and Girlife Collective member, is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of tween girls and LGBTQ+ youth. As an empowerment workshop leader, Gina offers unique, confidence-building expressive writing and creative workshops that foster self-esteem and personal growth.
WhimziePop Empowerment creates opportunities for children in low-income neighborhoods who might not otherwise have access to such enriching experiences. By using a portion of all workshop ticket and ad sales to provide free workshops in underserved communities and donating proceeds from book sales to charities and individuals in need, WhimziePop Empowerment strives to make a tangible difference in our communities.
What sets WhimziePop Empowerment apart is its holistic approach to empowerment and its focus on giving back. By combining expressive writing and confidence-building workshops with a strong commitment to social responsibility, WhimziePop Empowerment stands out as a leading initiative in youth development and empowerment.
Gina Vallance’s journey is a testament to her dedication to empowering others and fostering positive change. With a Bachelor’s in English, an AA degree in Journalism, and an AA degree in Child Development, along with a love for fantasy fiction, writing, and personal development, she has crafted an empowerment brand that helps children feel confident. Her experience with Meniere’s Disease, which she endured throughout her childhood and young adulthood and later developed into hearing loss, has driven her to create something she lacked as a child: a sense of confidence and self-worth.
What sets Gina Vallance apart from regular middle-grade authors is her commitment to empowerment and social change. With a background in English, Journalism, and Child Development, she brings a blend of creativity, empathy, and social responsibility to her work.

To support Remell Tillis and her grandchildren during this challenging time, the community is encouraged to contribute to her cause. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact. Together, we can help Remell focus on her health and ensure that her family has a stable and secure future.
