In life, accidents of all sorts are bound to occur. Car accidents often happen due to the recklessness of one of the two drivers. The aftermath can sometimes take both people to the court where issues can be settled, but there are times when the innocent are taken advantage of. That was something that Dagoberto Rodriguez learned the hard way.
Rodriguez was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. He would attend Universidad Santa Maria, Escuela de Derecho, where he would earn a Lawyer’s Degree. However, the situation in the country took a downward turn, and Rodriguez was forced to flee his country.
He left for the United States in 2001 to study. It wasn’t easy as he kept listening to the news and saw that Venezuela’s situation worsened. Having no financial support from his family, Rodriguez decided to get a job as he attended ESL classes. He found an opportunity in construction, giving him the means to fund himself as he went to school.
One day as he prepared to go to work, he got into a terrible car accident. The rental vehicle he got was badly damaged. Despite having no money, Rodriguez had to pay for the deductible for repairs, as well as the car that he rented. Whatever little money he had dried out, he could not get checked up or receive medical treatment.
When he got into Law School, he learned about “personal injury lawyers” a little too late. He also realized that the insurance company for the driver who caused the accident took advantage of him. Rodriguez would also learn about torts and that the victims of injuries caused by negligent parties have the right to receive compensation for injuries sustained. Something clicked in his head, and he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life: a personal injury lawyer.
Rodriguez was driven to reach his goal of becoming a lawyer. Despite not speaking the language, Rodriguez learned and learned. His tendency to compete with himself was his driving force, and it led him to become licensed in not one but three different states.. He has had the pleasure of representing more than a few people who told him that his dreams of becoming a lawyer were impossible.
As Rodriguez set out in his career, he was a partner with a firm that decided they wanted to go into another law field. They would go on to make great money. He gained multiple associates, staff members, and even had an office of his own.
Despite how much of what he had, Rodriguez felt a disconnection. He decided to start his own firm. Rodriguez Law Firm was then started after such an arduous and costly journey. Despite the struggles, everything was rewarding.
With his new law firm, Rodriguez has been able to help back in Venezuela, recover money for those injured, and pay for those in need of medical treatment.
