Complete creative control of their music is what musician couple NTG and Yung Draw envisioned when they established Ntune Entertainment Group, an independent music label, back in 2013. The label’s most recent project is the newly released album I Am NTG that features artist NTG’s experiences and views in life scaled down to finely calibrated hip-hop tracks.
Talented rappers NTG and Yung Draw make up the “SpittaGang.” They are a hip-hop duo who also happen to be a married couple. As husband and wife, their connection in both music and marriage is evident. They compliment each other’s musical aspirations, and together, they have been supporting their individual and collective musical journey through thick and thin.
The couple boasts of their powerful hip-hop music that features sharp lyricism intended to leave a lasting impression in their listeners’ ears. Their music style is quite aggressive yet fun and catchy. Another impressive feature of this hip-hop power couple is the fact they are not afraid to touch on social issues such as sexual assault and even suicide through their music. They also create songs tackling economic problems as well as political issues.
Indeed, they are using their music as a voice to air out the unheard concerns and struggles that most people encounter in their everyday lives. Both NTG and Yung Draw strongly believe that music is a powerful tool that can help make a difference in this world.
Their previous album Music & Marriage featured songs that revolved around all forms of love and life struggles. One of the most impactful tracks in that album was the song “Don’t Shoot” which tackled the reality of police brutality. The song’s message resonates with one of the social issues America is facing today. Recently, the group dropped their latest album, I Am NTG. In the snippet of the album, many listeners were already curious and asking about the introductory track of the album.
NTG and Yung Draw are passionate and committed to their goals in the music industry. They strive to create music that can be enjoyed by every person coming from all walks in life. Their primary focus is on music that exudes positivity, but they are also willing to touch on societal issues that need to be given attention.
The creation of their independent record label, Ntune Entertainment Group, arose from the lack of platforms available for aspiring musical artists where they can completely control the creative aspect of their music. Since then, the label has offered affordable indie promotions aimed to help rising musicians get attention through different hip-hop sites.
NTG and Yung Draw have performed with and or opened for Tone Trump, Legendary Hip Hop artist Kurtis Blow, DJ Too Tuff of The Tuff Crew, Hip Hop Artist Cyhi The Prince (signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam Recordings), and many other notable performers. In March of 2017, Philadelphia’s Power Couple co-produced an independent showcase with Air It Out Radio featuring DJ Drewski of Love and Hip Hop New York and Hot 97.
Philadelphia’s Power Couple have been featured in XXL Magazine, Hip Hop Weekly Magazine, The Hype Magazine, Up Next Magazine, and Street Motivation Magazine. They have been featured on popular hip hop sites: Hip Hop Dx, This Is 50, All Hip Hop, Hip Hop Since 1987, Hip Hop Vibe, and others. They have also been on the radio with Coast 2 Coast , 98.5 Fm The Wire, Cali’s Best Radio Show, The Magnetic Mixtape, Air It Out Radio, Gloca Wear Radio, The Real Deal Radio, and many more.
Today, Ntune Entertainment Group continues to help up-and-coming artists reach their goals. With this group, nothing is impossible when it comes to music.
