King F.L.O is a gifted lyricist, producer and videographer born and raised in the Bronx, a borough of New York City where plenty of celebrated artists have been discovered. Even at a very young age, King F.L.O has always been musically inclined, receiving his bachelor’s in Sound Design and Audio Engineering from Full Sail University. In 2004, he launched his career by producing his very own music.
In 2009, this accomplished individual was able to co-found a group called The STONEHEADZ, allowing him to release his very first mix-tape titled “Mind Over Matter,” which included songs like “Boss Theme,” a song that featured Sheek Louch of the renowned rap trio, The Lox.
It did not take long for King F.L.O’s career to take off, and before he knew it, he was working with outstanding musical talents like The Lox, Action Bronson, Maino, Chris Rivers, Mr. Cheeks, French Montana, and legends like Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, and Rakim, to name a few. Despite having a flourishing career, King F.L.O continues to improve his craft and stir things up in the music industry with numerous collaborations with the likes of Redman and Method Man, Cappadonna, Inspectah Deck, Ghost Face Killa, Tony Yayo, Cory Gunz, Fred the Godson, State Property and so much more.
In addition to his many achievements, King F.L.O once hosted the Ryan Show and performed at Sound of Brazil and Summer Jam in New York, and in 2020 he officially became StreetHeat TV’s COO. His recent projects include dropping a new music video for “Blessed,” one of the songs from the upcoming album, GODKING. The video is directed by StreetHeat’s very own Tana. This highly anticipated album that features musicians like Cory Gunz, Whispers, STONEHEADZ, and many others, is set to release on January 6, 2022.
Aside from the hard-hitting production and the traditional beats he incorporates in his projects, King F.L.O takes pride in the substance of his music in the hopes of attracting a younger, more impressionable generation of music fans.
What makes King F.L.O stand out is his never-waning dedication and passion for the craft, saying that he treats the sleepless nights and long days of creating music as a lifestyle and advises those who are inclined to pursue the same path he did, to be ready to live with the challenges it comes with.
King F.L.O’s motivation to build his brand is the aspiration of creating a world where it is entirely okay to be yourself and live outside the deceptions of social media, which is notorious for promoting a false sense of happiness, wealth, and success. He also adds that being taken advantage of in the industry is one of his reasons for pursuing this path. In more years to come, he hopes to expand his platform and continue to inspire other artists like himself to express themselves in ways that they genuinely desire, without conforming to anything or anyone, all while learning and adapting to the ever-evolving industry.
