The dream of a united Africa is something that the whole world has yet to see in this generation and in the generations to come. However difficult a concept it may be, working on achieving this state of unity requires for its people to start acting now so that the future may be better. Rising music artist and entrepreneur King Uche is answering the call for an influential leader to rise up and unite the people of his home country, Nigeria, and the rest of Africa, through his life-changing music and noble initiatives to empower the youth.
Born in Nigeria and raised in the United States, the diverse artist recently released his debut EP called Flygerian Music, which highlights various themes common to his ancestry. These include pain, suffering, love, ambition, hustle, and motivation and how these attributes make up the unique resiliency of Nigerians to survive even the most difficult times in their history as a people. By encouraging his fellow Nigerians to pursue becoming the best versions of themselves, King Uche hopes to inspire the change that all Nigerians have long been dreaming of.
“I have a dream of a United Africa, a world where the new generation of youths worldwide can feel like they belong. A world where they can see their dreams manifest, free of the bondage that most youths from poverty-stricken countries face. That is why I started rapping and my independent record label Sufferings and Offerings Music,” shares King Uche.
Sufferings and Offerings Music is designed to reach out to aspiring artists from Nigeria who wish to share their music with the rest of the world. As a platform and brand, it was created to motivate people, uphold what is righteous, and pursue what is good for everyone in Africa. Just as the late Nelson Mandela dreamed of an Africa which is in peace with itself, King Uche hopes to spark the passion of his countrymen to think of what is best for Nigeria and the whole of Africa. Sufferings and Offerings Music as a brand is just the first step among the many that the artist wishes to undertake.
“We were born from and molded by human suffering. Our products are stories for the senses. We have invested in technology and recruitment to deliver campaigns that build fans and engagement along with streams to generate revenue from the outset,” King Uche reveals.
In the coming years, the Sufferings and Offerings Music founder envisions stadium concerts and motivational conferences featuring himself and other artists signed under his independent music label. As early as now, he is working on introducing Nigerian singer Martins Luv to the rest of the world. By creating a powerful brand that has the ability to influence people in a positive way, he believes that the dream of a united Africa is starting to unravel. King Uche will continue to use the many challenges he experienced in life to show people that they can still succeed even if others saw them as mere failures from the beginning. Just as he has overcome other peoples’ discouraging criticisms of him, he chooses to be a winner rather than allow their remarks to bring him down. As he continues to rise on the ladder of success, he also hopes to see a better Africa.
