As the EDM scene evolves, one artist stands out with her electrifying sound and compelling lyrics. Maria Raquel, known for her dynamic rhythms and vibrant beats, has captivated audiences worldwide. With her latest single, “Do You Hear the Colors?” set to release on August 1, 2024, we caught up with Maria Raquel to discuss her journey, inspirations, and what’s next for this rising star.

Q: Maria, congratulations on your new single! What inspired “Do You Hear the Colors?”

Maria Raquel: Thank you! “Do You Hear the Colors?” is a reflection of my experiences over the past year. It’s about finding freedom and joy in the midst of chaos. I wanted to create a track that encourages people to let go and immerse themselves in the music. The idea of “hearing colors” came from synesthesia, where senses overlap. It’s a metaphor for feeling and experiencing music in a multidimensional way.

Q: Your music has been described as a blend of pop, dance, and EDM. How do you approach creating your unique sound?

Maria Raquel: My approach is very intuitive. I draw from a wide range of influences, from classic pop to the latest EDM trends. I start with a feeling or a concept and build the music around that. It’s important for me to stay true to my emotions and experiences while also creating something that resonates with my audience.

Q: You’ve gained a significant following on platforms like TikTok. How has social media influenced your career?

Maria Raquel: Social media has been a game-changer. It allows me to connect directly with my fans and share my music with a global audience. TikTok, in particular, has been excellent for discovering new music and trends. It’s exciting to see how my songs inspire dance challenges and creative content from fans.

Q: What has been the most memorable moment of your career so far?

Maria Raquel: There have been so many memorable moments, but performing at my first major festival was incredible. Seeing thousands of people dance and sing along to my music was surreal. It’s those moments that remind me why I love what I do.

Q: “Do You Hear the Colors?” has received recognition and praise. How do you feel about this?

Maria Raquel: It’s an honor! I put my heart and soul into this track, so to see it being recognized and appreciated means the world to me. It motivates me to keep pushing boundaries and creating music that makes people feel something.

Q: Can you share details about your upcoming projects or what fans can expect next?

Maria Raquel: I’m always working on new music! I have a few collaborations in the pipeline with some fantastic artists, and I’m also planning a tour for next year. Fans can expect more of my signature sound but with new twists and surprises. I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on.

Q: What advice would you give to aspiring artists trying to break into the EDM scene?

Maria Raquel: Stay true to yourself and your sound. The industry can be challenging, but if you’re passionate and persistent, you’ll find your audience. Also, embrace social media and use it to connect with fans and other artists. Collaboration and networking are essential.

Q: Finally, where can fans listen to “Do You Hear the Colors?”

Maria Raquel: The single is available on all major music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it and can’t wait to see how it resonates with my listeners.
