From the moment she stepped onto the stage at just eleven years old, Maya Tannous knew that performance was her calling. What began as theatre training at the prestigious Cours Florent in France soon expanded into a journey that carried her across continents, from European stages to the heart of Hollywood.
At seventeen, Maya made the bold decision to move to Los Angeles to pursue television and screen acting. Her dedication led her to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting at the New York Film Academy, where she refined her craft in front of the camera and gained the discipline required to thrive in the industry.

Beyond commercials, Maya has acted in a series of independent films, most notably “Don’t Forget to Live,” a project she both wrote and starred in. Selected for the Glendale International Film Festival and the Silicon Beach Film Festival, which takes place at the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, the film follows a young woman searching for authentic love while learning the importance of self-acceptance. For Maya, the project was deeply personal. She wrote the script, brought her own story to life on screen, and entrusted the director to shape her vision while she fully embodied the character she created.
Maya remains connected to her theatre roots, having worked with Theatre 40, and continues to draw inspiration from stage and musical performers. She cites Cynthia Erivo’s electrifying role in “Jesus Christ Superstar” as a creative spark, fueling her ambition to take on iconic roles such as Cleopatra, as well as to explore the depths of psychological dramas like “Se7en.” Her passion for both musicals and dramatic film reflects a range that translates across stage and screen.
