Seeing African-American entertainment and culture on television is most celebrated. After all, there is a lack of representation in the media, and so many people have stepped forward to make it happen. One of those is McIntosh Bros Productions, with its powerful move of becoming founders of Freeli TV last July, the worldâs first free linear multi-channel streaming platform dedicated to Black entertainment and culture.
Led by brothers Javier and Jabriel McIntosh, McIntosh Bros Productions, they focus on disrupting the media by offering multiple channels with African-American focused TV series, music videos, movies, sports, and more. More than just a free platform, people can access over 50 channels of hyper-targeted content focused on an African-American audience. No matter the interest, genre, or affinity, Freeli TV has a channel for everyone. This is evident by the star-studded and diverse array of content featuring the most prominent African-American movie stars, tv stars, athletes, comedians, and social media influencers.
McIntosh Bros Productions have always been at the forefront of creating content that lasts. Before launching Freeli TV, they have already made a name for themselves in the industry. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the team has won awards left and right and had their work featured at the Cannes Film Festival, 20th Century Fox, US Today, to name a few. Their work is focused on commercials, brand, and event capture and, most notably, representing people of color.
The powerhouse is composed of brilliant and highly creative individuals dedicated to capturing beautiful imagery with unparalleled attention to detail. They are a small group of directors, cinematographers, and editors, who possess the knowledge of all things screen and camera in order to deliver a beautifully crafted concept and product to cherish for years to come. McIntosh Bros was given the distinguished honor at the largest student film festival in the world as being one of the Top 5 videography editors.
Their clients include huge brands such as Coca-Cola, Reebok, PayPal, and Kia, which allows us to diversify the clients they work with and expand their talent and vision. McIntosh Bros Productions believes in the power behind a great photo or video, which is why they strive to capture real moments that tell a compelling story.
Javier and Jabriel McIntosh have continuously kept the level of creativity and professionalism in their work. For years, this has already been their work-in-progress that is now slowly becoming a masterpiece working with the biggest names and brands in the industry.
Their father, Eric McIntosh, always told them to find what they loved and make a business doing that. From an early age, Javier took this to heart. âIâve always known that I would own a business involving art. I just didnât know what art it would be,â he shares. âI was always drawing, making music, and somewhere I fell in love with the art of directing films. Once I started, there was no turning back,â he adds.
Today, whether contributing to equal representation in media through Freeli TV, disrupting the industry by focusing on people of colors, executing the best video, and creating stories that last, McIntosh Bros Productions is here to prove it all possible.
