Actress, model, TV host, artist, writer, and humanitarian Monique LeClair brings to the table not only a deep-seated dedication to her craft but also empathy as she shares her journey to success in two different careers.Â
Growing up as a compassionate person, it was to no one’s surprise when Monique began carving a path toward the medical industry. She had always known she wanted to help others at an early age and recalls how she was the type of kid who rescued animals in the street and looked after family members who were ill. However, it was her father’s death from cancer that ultimately convinced her to establish a career in nursing.Â
“He had wonderful nurses that changed his life and made his last few months very comfortable,” Monique shared. This incident inspired her to touch other people’s lives in the same way. Â
Taking up college credits while she was still in high school, Monique managed to become a nurse at the age of 20. For the past 12 years, she has been working tirelessly in the medical industry, helping people in their most vulnerable moments, even during the surge of the COVID-19 pandemic. Having a four-month-old daughter during that time, Monique originally wanted to remain as a perioperative nurse where things were safer and more sterile. But having 11 years of experience as an ER nurse, she felt a sense of duty and opted to help out despite the risk. Currently, Monique is studying to become a nurse practitioner and is eager to broaden her expertise in order to assist more people in need.Â
On top of being an exceptional nurse, Monique is also simultaneously making waves in the media industry. She relocated from St. Augustine Beach, Florida to Los Angeles in 2014 in the pursuit of making her dreams of working in the field of entertainment a reality, having been exposed to the industry at a very early age. Her passion for acting in film and theater has helped her establish a presence in the entertainment scene for the past few years. She recently shot a music video together with Wiz Khalifa and Christina Aguilera. In addition, she was invited to Guy Oseary’s Oscar after-party, which was attended by some of the entertainment industry’s prominent names such as Snoop Dogg, Lil Nas, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jason Momoa, Ricky Martin, P Diddy, Robert Pattinson, Tyga, and Ashton Kutcher.Â
But aside from all the great things that Monique did in the span of her career as a healthcare professional and entertainment artist, what makes her even more admirable is the fact that she accomplished all these while being a full-time mother to her now two-year-old daughter Nova Lee Jasper LeClair who she will be working with on the film Dark Alien Visions.
Moving forward, Monique LeClair intends to scale her career to new heights and serve as an inspiration to those who aim to gain a foothold in the industry with the profession they are passionate about. And when asked what she wants to impart to people still hoping to find their niche, the fearless jack-of-all-trades insightfully replied, “It’s never too late to learn. It’s never too late to change your mind. So if you don’t know what you want to be or what you want to do, try it all.” Â Â Â Â
