Before he became a fitness coach, Blake was a high school kid with a deep passion for football. He played and worked out to get better at football. When he graduated and no longer had to play, he kept his routine of regularly working out. He and his brother eventually discovered numerous workout plans online, their favorite of which is “Get Swole” by Cory Gregory.
Blake was hooked, hooked to working out, and hooked to setting and achieving his goals one by one. He enjoyed every single day he went to the gym and even stayed home to do more research on physical fitness. That was when he realized that fitness is his true calling.
Wanting to learn as much as he could, and eventually become a personal trainer, he undertook and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise, Sport, and Health Education with a specialization in Fitness, Strength, and Conditioning. He started a fitness Instagram account, which allowed people to follow through his journey, and eventually landed his first sponsorship with EVL Nutrition, which also introduced him to the world of bodybuilding. He ventured into a natural bodybuilding show and won all four classes he competed in.
He later became a nutrition specialist and a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise and furthered his education with Coaches Education and Lifting Certification through Totten Training Systems.
Having competed in three other bodybuilding shows and bringing home the NPC Virginia Natural overall title, as well as six first-place trophies, he has brought his clients to their best, with two of them receiving their Men’s Physique Pro Card.
