Napa Valley on a Dime (Well, $75) This Winter

Calistoga’s famous Castello di Amorosa is just one of the 16 participating wineries

Think you can’t afford to go wine tasting in the Napa Valley?  Think again. Visit Calistoga’s $75 Winter in the Wineries Passport offers complimentary tastings at 16 wineries and more through February 5.

The city of Calistoga is a Napa Valley town known for its natural geothermal waters, popular spas, relaxed atmosphere, hiking adventures and biking trails, wide variety of wineries and great dining. Now in its 13th year, Visit Calistoga’s popular Winter in the Wineries Passport Program returns to offer Passport holders one-time complimentary tastings at each of the 16 participating wineries in the Calistoga AVA (American Viticultural Area) through February 5, 2023. Additionally, Passport holders receive special offers and discounts at select Calistoga restaurants, lodging properties, spas, and downtown shops. Passports are $75 each and are available online at  visitcalistoga.com or by calling the Calistoga Welcome Center at 707-942-6333. Valued at over $400 in wine tastings alone, the Passport is considered the best value of tasting in Napa Valley.

With each Passport page stamped, Passport holders are sure to enjoy the opportunity to swirl and sip in celebration of the Napa Valley’s “Cabernet Season,” the time of year when Harvest Season comes to a close, crowds are less, temperatures are mild, and a slower, more intimate atmosphere emerges.

“It’s kind of an insider’s secret that what we call ‘Cabernet Season’ is one of the best times to visit,” said Eric Reichert, president and CEO of the Calistoga Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center. “The Winter in the Wineries Passport gives guests several weeks to choose their own adventure and explore   our unique Calistoga wine region, from grand estates and castles to cozy downtown tasting rooms. And the adventure doesn’t stop with wine.   Guests can enjoy our spas, geothermal pools, a wide range of lodging options, and world-renowned dining, all with special offers and discounts available only through the Passport program.”
