Dr. Kate Lund sat down with Dr. Kien Vuu for an episode of The Optimized Mind Podcast to discuss the second edition of Dr. Vuu’s bestselling book, Thrive State – Your Blueprint for Optimal Health and Peak Performance. In the book, Dr. Vuu explores the concept of communication through motor neurons, detailing how the human mind and body can exchange information through energy fields. The book also investigates the positive impact of being in a “thrive state,” including its capacity to heal chronic illness and maximize human potential.
“Dr. Vuu offers an invaluable perspective on what it means to be truly healthy and provides the roadmap we need to reach ‘the thrive state,’” said Dr. Lund. “(He) explains that, as we shift more towards the thrive state and understand what that looks and feels like, we can really make progress in eradicating some chronic conditions for ourselves.”
On the podcast, Dr. Vuu explained the importance of engaging and stimulating the body, mind, spirit, and mindful intentions. Activating these aspects of the entire person, he said, is the catalyst for being in a state of thriving. He also noted that anyone can use this holistic approach to tap into their full potential and experience optimal well-being.
“There is resilience in being able to live in the thrive state,” said Dr. Vuu. “Your body allows itself the reserves to be able to handle additional stress. If a person is stressed, not getting proper nutrition, and disconnected from their spiritual power, they aren’t likely to be physically or spiritually well. As the body becomes healthier and the mind is more in tune spiritually, there is a noticeable increase in overall health.”
Dr. Vuu was inspired to write the second edition of Thrive State while serving as UCLA’s clinical professor of interventional radiology during a huge turning point for the country: the dawn of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the podcast episode, he recalled observing that patients who were not in the thrive state seemed to suffer more severe effects from the virus than people who were. He also explained his conclusion that human beings can communicate with one another energetically using motor neurons in the brain that essentially work much like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
“The state that we are in speaks to every single cell in our body,” Dr. Vuu said. “The state we’re in is also wired and connected to other people on the planet. Just as we know, fear can spread through society; so can feelings of love, compassion, help, and togetherness. The benefits encompass a person’s physical health, the enrichment of nonverbal communication and perception, energetic resilience, and the effect that thriving has on one’s entire network of connections.”
In this second edition of Dr. Vuu’s best-selling book Thrive State, he dives deeper into the intricacies of attaining optimal physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, offering a profound exploration of the mechanisms required to achieve wellness holistically and actualize one’s full potential.
