The writing industry is a cutthroat industry where the most talented individuals express themselves and showcase their talents to the various projects that they put out to the world. Model and mother Andrea Jenkins is a talented screenplay writer who has crafted a remarkable screenplay that is destined to hit the silver screen with its unique premise and its dazzlingly tight writing.
We sat down with Andrea to get to know what makes her tick and where much of her talent and inspiration truly comes from, allowing her to become the massive industry powerhouse she is today:
Q: For our readers who have not been introduced to your work, please introduce yourself.
A: I am Andrea Jenkins, 35 years old, and a mother of five beautiful children. I am a published model, winner of Instagram’s “Babe of the Month” page for August 2019. I was featured on Windsor Fashion’s website to over 2.2 million people. I have also been affiliated with Viper Eve as a model.
Q: What motivated you to take this career path and follow through with your decision?
A: I have always had a natural desire for both modeling and writing. I was the child leaping in front of the camera and writing songs and poetry in my Journal.
Q: Who can you say is one of your biggest inspirations?
A: My belated grandmother. She had nine kids, ran a daycare, her own store, and worked in the school system.
Q: Elaborate on your career as of the moment. Tell us about the current plan, what you’ve been doing despite the pandemic.
A: Honestly, the pandemic has not slowed me down. I used the opportunity to connect with other celebrities and major businesses. It was the beginning of the pandemic, and I thought to myself, “I am stuck, sitting at home doing nothing. So is everyone else.”
Q: Why has modeling and screenwriting become your passion?
A: Doing something you are naturally good at that is fun, and more like a hobby is anyone’s goal or dream.
Q: Why should people work with you?
A: I am very creative and adaptive. I love learning new things and helping others in the process. Knowledge is more valuable than anything.
Q: What are your future plans for your career?
A: Continue modeling, Turn my screenplays into movies & eventually mentor young, aspiring models.
Q: Do you have personal experiences with struggle, and how did you overcome it?
A: That’s an entire book in itself.
I would say the best way to overcome a problem or things you struggle with is this:
Talk about it. Don’t keep it bottled up.
Stay positive. Make sure your playlist has upbeat songs.
Make goals, and work towards them. And realize that God only gives you what you can handle.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your screenplay you became an award winner for?
A: The Six: The end is the Beginning, or “The Six” for short, is a Science Fiction/Fantasy screenplay.
The short version: Six strangers come together, and start a war with their Goverment. It’s on a different Planet, in a different galaxy, but it has relevance to our current “Split down the Middle” Country. Politics and fighting for what is right for the greater good.
This Boss mom has been published on Fox News, Entertainment Monthly, New York Weekly, Digital Journal, WHTC radio of South West Michigan, Allegan County News, and many others. For her audacious, yet collective screenwriting career, she won the best screenplay in the London City Film awards in 2019.
Andrea Jenkins will stop at nothing to succeed in any given field. She is dominating whatever industry that she chooses, and with the way things are going now, it’s only a matter of time until she will truly reach the top.
