SD Royalty Events’ Adriana Romero on Giving Back to Communities Through Cause-Oriented Quinceanera and Bridal Expos

Private events, parties, and expos are often associated with glamor, fun, and hundreds of bucks spent on drinks and hors d’oeuvres. But Adriana Romero, the CEO of SD Royalty Events, proves that behind the scenes, there could be efforts to pursue and advance causes that benefit communities and the lives of countless others.

Currently based in San Diego, California, Adriana is an event planner, manager, and coordinator at the helm of SD Royalty Events. Specializing in private events, corporate events, party bus and limo rentals, adult parties, pop-up events, charity events, venue rental, and more, this brainchild of hers is widely heralded as San Diego’s go-to one-stop shop for event planning and luxury transportation.

Leading SD Royalty Events has allowed Adriana to build a solid reputation over the years, but it is her humble beginnings and philanthropic endeavors that continue to inspire both new and established business owners in the industry. Bearing a story that resonates with countless individuals across the globe, the millennial Hispanic entrepreneur started from the bottom, pushing forward with nothing but a clear-cut vision of success on her back and the commitment to make a difference.

Hand in hand with her husband, Hugo, Adriana created an event planning company with zero overhead. Initially, they focused on providing venue rentals, eventually offering private event packages as well as event planning and coordination services. Soon enough, the power duo would make a move to branch into bridal shows and quinceanera expos – a decision that marked the start of their mission-driven initiatives.

“After attending many trade shows ourselves, we knew we could do something different, create something better, and make it more entertaining and purposeful,” shared Adriana. “Ultimately, we became the only organizer of expos for a good cause in San Diego, changing the game by eliminating many redundant features of typical expos, adding diverse themes and incorporating art, dance, and performance competitions.”

The couple are working hard on providing excellent services through charity-based work. One of their upcoming projects is following Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s viral social media challenge, the “7 bucks” challenge, wherein people are tasked with flipping an initial amount of seven US dollars into a profitable amount. The resulting income will be a donation towards Feeding America. The Million Meals Challenge was created by TikTok social media influencer Ever Matson, San Diego local and famous “kidpreneur” known for their breakthrough activism and social work towards answering the homeless problem in America. The TikTok star will also work with them closely during the event, building towards a cooperative, charitable cause.

The couple has also worked with prominent VIP individuals from across the nation. Becca Brazil, Artist/Digital & Social Media sensation, who has featured as the 2022 Cover of Global Woman Magazine and the original Miss Jetset Magazine cover girl, is proudly hosting their upcoming Quince & Bridal Festival. The talented artist is also a singer-songwriter featured on Forbes, Bravo TV, Yahoo as well as prominent music label Rolling Stone. Not only that, she has recently performed alongside Adil C on Spotify. Working with the multi-talented artist is an exciting prospect for the couple, and they are expecting a successful event.

While bridging the gap between vendors and their clientele remains one of the major objectives of the expos hosted by SD Royalty Events, they are primarily driven by the desire to give back to charity and support local San Diego-based nonprofits. Growing up, Adriana herself became intimately privy to the harsh realities that those living in poverty have to face. “At one point in my childhood, I grew up very poor,” she recalled. “I lived in two homeless shelters that were funded by a nonprofit. There were times when I wouldn’t have any food or clothes on my back if it weren’t for the help of a nonprofit.”

Now, by banking on her reach as a thriving CEO and utilizing her resources, Adriana is going the extra mile to help others. So far, the SD Royalty Events founder has been able to sponsor over six nonprofit charities and is looking forward to supporting more in the years to come.

Right now, Adriana and the rest of her team at SD Royalty Events are planning a huge quince and bridal festival scheduled for November 13, 2022. It will gather fifty vendors and feature live music, DJs, food trucks, etc. Apart from allowing vendors to connect with their target clients, it will aim to raise money to feed the homeless, a charity challenge created by kidpreneur Ever Matson.
