Silvio Crisari, a professional futsal and football coach hailing from Rome, Italy, has had a successful and diverse career spanning over two decades. Born on December 24th, 1972, Crisari began his coaching career in 2001 and has since made a name for himself by winning four championships and gaining international experience in the United States, Japan, and China.
In 2014, Crisari was appointed as the assistant coach of the Lazio Under 18 region team, going on to win two best futsal coach awards and two Italy championships with the team in 2015, 2016, and 2017. In June 2017, Crisari became the head coach of the National Norway Futsal Team, a position he has held until today. In 2018, he also took on the role of assistant coach for the National Norway Football Team’s Under 18 team.
One of the highlights of Crisari’s career thus far was in 2021, when he led the National Norway Futsal Team to victory in the Nordic Cup, making him the first coach to achieve this feat and the only coach to win back-to-back in the elite round of the FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds.
In addition to his coaching achievements, Crisari has also made a point to continuously educate himself and stay up-to-date in the field of sports. He holds a UEFA Pro coaching license in futsal from Coverciano, a UEFA A professional coaching license in football from Coverciano, a degree in Psychology and Economics, a Master’s degree in Big Data Analytics, and a Master’s degree in Sport and Business Management.
Crisari is known for his unique coaching style, which combines elements of both futsal and football and emphasizes the importance of cognitive training and positive reinforcement. In 2010, he co-founded “Futsal Solutions,” a company that has helped develop the youth sectors of professional teams in the United States, China, and Japan.
One of the most memorable experiences of Crisari’s career was his time spent coaching in Japan, where he learned the value of resilience and formed close relationships with the people he worked with. Fluent in Italian, English, French, and Spanish, Crisari is able to coach teams all around the world and has a reputation for being open-minded and easy to work with.
