When his parents divorced, he moved into a better part of town but with an abusive stepfather. He began home studies and found his love for music, which kept him out of trouble.
At the age of 16, he was already the number one R&B Artist on MP3.com and selling albums all over the world. He rose to number one on Billboard’s Talent Net Independent Chart. By the time he graduated from homeschool, he had chosen to perform live at the world’s Mecca of Entertainment, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada for Eat’m – Emerging Artists and Technology in Music. His passion for music was put on a halt when he and his mother decided to take custody of his sister’s children. After they grew up and moved out, David started to begin his work of helping others succeed.
He went on to win multiple international songwriting awards in multiple genres, and to work alongside Grammy-nominated and Grammy award-winning musicians like Toby Gad, Marvin Moore, and many more. His publishing company, Anomaly Music Group, signed two major label records deals with two of the biggest electronics and media companies in the world. He then formed a consultancy, Trinhoval Business Strategies, in the advocacy of helping business owners with their success.
