Josh Herman founded STRVCTVRE, an award-winning artist management company, in 2012. Based in California, the company has played its music worldwide, representing artists who established themselves further in the industry through STRVCTVRE. With platinum-selling single “Tsunami” making international waves and several awards decorating his office, it’s hard to imagine Josh as a student. He booked artists and promoted club shows in his free time.
Founder Josh Herman started his career in the music industry in 2007. He began as a promoter for club shows and venues while he attended university in Nova Scotia, Canada. By the time he graduated with a degree in business management, Josh had a long list of artists he had worked with on local tours and across Canada. The list had big names such as Steve Aoki, LMFAO, Avicii, deadmau5, Tiësto, mstrkrft, Wolfgang Gartner, Porter Robinson, Crystal Castles, of Montreal, Down With Webster, RJD2, and Zeds Dead.
A year later, he was working as a Live Nation Tour Rep on tours that included Pitbull, Kesha, Black Sabbath, LMFAO, il Volo, and Prince. Josh lived out of a tour bus and traveled across North America while building his own management company. He established STRVCTVRE from his tour bus and soon transitioned into artist management, working with acts such as DVBBS, Ali Gatie, Borgeous, and Down With Webster.
Josh and production duo DVBBS spent their early days together driving from city to city and living out of a truck. As Josh was able to book more jobs for the duo, DVBBS began to play for a bigger crowd and gain a following. DVBBS debuted in 2012 with their EP Initio, which achieved moderate success, helping them launch chart-topping single “Tsunami” just a year later. Through Tsunami, the duo gained international acclaim, and soon, Josh and DVBBS were touring nonstop worldwide.
DVBBS performed in festivals such as the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Europe, South Africa, Korea, the Electric Daisy Carnival, Lollapalooza Festivals, Tomorrowworld, Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Airbeat One, and many more. With their tremendous success, DVBBS soon garnered awards and made a name for themselves in the industry. The 2014 vocal mix track of “Tsunami,” which featured English rapper Tinie Tempah topped both the UK Singles and UK Dance Charts, making DVBBS one of only thirteen Canadian artists to chart at the top of the Official UK Singles Chart. To date, platinum hit “Tsunami” boasts of over a billion streams across all platforms.
In 2015, Josh curated and produced Mount Woozy, DVBBS’ festival brand, and managed their then newly launched record label, Kanary Music. Josh and the acclaimed duo furthered their substantial discography through multiple platinum singles “IDWK”, “Gold Skies,” and “Not Going Home.” The latter song won DVBBS a Juno Awards nomination for the 2018 Dance Recording of the Year. In just five years, the duo had performed over 750 shows. Under STRVTCVTRE’s management and Josh’s marketing brilliance, DVBBS is signed to play for festivals and nightclubs in over seventy countries worldwide. More recently the duo have released their new smash hit ‘Tinted Eyes’ with Blackbear and 24kGoldn. With an album and plenty of huge collaborations on the way such as; Kane Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Cheat Codes, Galantis, Yebba, Roy Woods, Loud Luxury etc.
In December 2017, he partnered with his company with Patriot Management. This Live Nation company houses artists such as DVBBS, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Pharrell Williams, Backstreet Boys, One Republic, NERD, The Offspring. Working on several projects at once, Josh, like a tsunami, is a force to be reckoned with. For more information and updates, visit STRVCTVRE on their official website.
