April 12, 2025 – We are excited to announce that rising artists Levitation and J Wils, who are currently headlining the prestigious All Stars Tour music showcase, have had their collaborative track “Outside” included in the much-anticipated documentary “Killa Hill,” premiering on Tubi TV this April 15th.

The documentary, directed by Wu-Tang Clan’s longtime video director Gerald “Gee-Bee” Barclay and executive produced by RZA, Raekwon, Herman Dawson, and Gano Grills, offers a closer look at Staten Island’s Park Hill neighborhood. “Killa Hill” will showcase J Wils and Levitation’s unique sound as part of its engaging soundtrack. This placement represents a notable milestone in J Wils and Levitation’s careers and has sparked enthusiasm among fans, with increased requests for “Outside” on Hartford’s Hot 93.7 FM playlist.

From Wu-Tang Clan’s Video Director: The “Killa Hill” Documentary

“Killa Hill” chronicles aspects of the rich cultural history of Staten Island’s Park Hill neighborhood, widely recognized as the birthplace of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. The documentary provides a perspective shaped by notable figures with deep connections to the area, including Wu-Tang members RZA and Raekwon, who serve as executive producers. The film examines how this community played a role in nurturing one of hip-hop’s most influential collectives and explores the neighborhood’s lasting influence on music, art, and culture beyond its geographical boundaries.

Park Hill: A Cross-Generational Appeal

What makes the Park Hill neighborhood’s legacy so compelling is its ongoing influence across generations of artists. From the groundbreaking Wu-Tang Clan, who emerged from this community in the early 1990s, to its continued cultural significance today, the area has remained a touchstone through pioneering sounds, distinctive storytelling, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Now, as new generations of artists connected to hip-hop icons begin to carve their own paths, including the children of Wu-Tang members, we’re seeing glimpses of the next chapter in this remarkable cultural saga.

The Flowery Fest Performance Announced

In addition to this notable documentary feature, Levitation and J Wils will be performing live together at this year’s Flowery Fest. The performance is expected to be a highlight, as they share the stage with Wu-Tang Clan’s Kids: Chey (Method Man’s daughter) and Weather Park (Old Dirty Bastard’s son).

This multi-generational lineup reflects both the enduring impact of Wu-Tang Clan and the emerging voices shaping hip-hop’s evolution. The festival appearance offers fans a chance to experience the connection between Wu-Tang’s legacy and contemporary artistic expression through these talented Connecticut artists, who have been gaining traction with recent hits like “Ride The Wave” and “Loving You.”

About Levitation and J Wils

Levitation, a prominent voice from Connecticut’s vibrant hip-hop scene, has partnered with fellow Connecticut artist J Wils on their standout track “Outside.” The collaboration highlights both artists’ ability to create music that connects on personal, cultural, and emotional levels while showcasing the rich diversity of East Coast hip-hop.

J Wils brings extensive industry experience to the duo, having produced the platinum record “My Kinda Girls” for Fat Joe and Terror Squad in 2001 through LaSmouve Production on Atlantic/Big Beat Records. As an artist, producer, songwriter, and CEO of LaSmouve Records (Bridgeport, CT), J Wils has built a long-standing career, including recent Afropop releases and performances with international stars like Kizz Daniels.

The duo’s momentum continues to grow, with their singles “Ride The Wave” and “Loving You” gaining attention across streaming platforms, supported notably by Hartford’s Hot 93.7 FM. Their inclusion in the “Killa Hill” documentary acknowledges how their collaborative artistry embodies a blend of innovation and authenticity that aligns with the film’s themes.

Both Levitation and J Wils will attend the “Killa Hill” documentary premiere while continuing their headlining performances on the All Stars Tour music showcase throughout NY, NJ, CT, MA, RI, and DC. This tour helps connect local artists with media and fans across the region, further solidifying their presence in the Northeast hip-hop landscape.
