Ashley Judd is a Havard Alumnus who has made a killing on the screens. In an acting career spanning over three decades, she has featured in several movies, including Ruby in Paradise (1993), A Time to Kill (1996), Kiss the Girls (1997), Double Jeopardy (1999), Olympus Has Fallen (2013), Divergent (2014), Dolphin Tale 2 (2014), Big Stone Gap (2014), Barry (2016) and A Dog’s Way Home (2019).
Ashley also played Kaitlin in Flypaper, a 2011 thriller film where she’s romantically involved with an analytical problem solver named Tripp. Things go bad when two distinct groups of robbers target the same bank where Tripp is a customer. As the situation escalates, it becomes obvious to both robbers that robberies aren’t the lucrative and easy ventures they’re often portrayed as. “Flypaper” cleverly highlights the unpredictable consequences when greed and desperation are the major drivers of our actions.
If you’re a risk taker, then the Flypaper is a must-watch. However, it is not necessary to rob a bank for a thrilling experience. Many people play in online casinos to get the desired emotions. Here is a list of the largest casino wins, which proves that everything is real. It’s a safer way to get adrenaline, without risking freedom.
Being the daughter of country music singer Naomi Judd, Ashley has had a fair share of media attention in her lifetime. However, her most recent appearances in the media have been for a not-too-fortunate history of accidents and serious injuries.
Ashley Judd Congo Accident
Ashley suffered severe leg injuries while on a research trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in February 2021 after tripping over a fallen tree in the rainforest. Because of the incident’s remote location, it took hours for Judd to receive medical attention. Being in a lot of pain and without immediate access to a doctor, she had to be transported by a team of rescuers in a makeshift hammock.
It reportedly took 55 hours to transport Judd to the hospital, a timeline that could have left many dead. Judd mentioned in an interview with Kate Roberts that the accident occurred around 4:30 am in the morning while she was hurrying to catch up with someone.
“I get up at about 3:30, 3:45 [a.m.] and start walking to where the bonobos made their nests in the tree tops the night before,” she explained her morning routine there. “We walk in the dark, and I use a headlamp. My head torch was dim that day … even though I had put batteries in the night before. I just had a long, powerful stride going because I was trying to catch up with the person in front of me to borrow light from their lamp. I was looking ahead, not at my feet… I think my toe got stuck in a root, and then I tripped over a fallen tree. I knew my leg was breaking as I was falling.”
She was eventually taken to a South African hospital for surgery and rehabilitation. Judd’s recovery from the accident was lengthy and challenging, and she has since shared her journey of resilience and determination in overcoming the physical and emotional effects of the incident.
Ashley Judd Face, Accident, and Thriller Movies
Ashley Judd never had a face accident. Rumors swirled after pictures of the actress with multiple swellings on her face emerged on the internet. Many speculated that the swellings were the results of plastic surgery. However, the award-winning actress said the swellings were a side effect of Botox injections. Her statement was met with disbelief until clinical studies emerged that Botox injections are a real treatment for migraines.
Movie fans will remember the actress’ accident scene in Double Jeopardy. Ashley played Lizzy, who was wrongfully convicted of murdering her husband. In the movie, Lizzy and her husband suffer an accident on a sailing trip, during which she blacks out and wakes up in a hospital covered in blood.
Lizzy discovers her husband is missing, and the police consider her a prime suspect in his murder. However, she believes her husband is still alive and is determined to find him. Unfortunately, Libby gets hit by a truck while she was driving on the highway on a mission to find her husband, who she believes is still alive.
The truck incident was a serious crash with her car turning over several times. Libby ends up in the hospital again with a serious injury requiring stitches. The police, who already considered her a suspect, believe she was trying to evade trial, and she is eventually sentenced to six years in prison for her husband’s death. Upon her release, she finds out that her husband faked his death and is determined to exert revenge. While plotting to kill him for good, Libby learns of double jeopardy, a legal defense that prevents the police or law enforcement from trying you for the same crime more than once.
Ashley Judd marked her return to the screens in 2022, playing lead roles in two documentaries. The first, “She Said,” is a documentary film highlighting Harvey Weinstein’s sexual abuse history against women. The second film is a documentary about her mother called “Naomi Judd: A River of Time Celebration.”
