Alfonso Matos is an established actor, producer, law enforcement professional, gang expert, and a rising author and novelist. He stands as the CEO of Mind Your Own (M.Y.O), LLC, an entertainment powerhouse established in 2017 and based in Washington, DC. Honing his talent in performing arts at the Dominican Republic School of Arts, he first started his journey in writing as a screenwriter. Little did he know this marked the beginning of a bigger milestone for him as a full-fledged novelist of 2021’s most intriguing novel, PAIN!
Alfonso Matos also graced the national and international screens through his filmography. He has appeared in various television and film productions such as National Geographic’s Locked Up Abroad, State of Play, and WE DIE YOUNG, among many more.
Before writing his novel PAIN!, Alfonso Matos dedicated much of his time to public service. He worked as a gang and military expert and consultant. He gained significant traction for his work in law enforcement, with him receiving praises from people across the DMV area of District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Most of his work centered on justice and peace and, ultimately, providing public service to various communities. As a collectivistic individual who puts family before anything else, one of his main focuses is on bringing together people from all walks of life. He takes the lead in embracing diversity and remains at the forefront against racism, injustice, inequality, and other social issues.
With his rich experience in life, he knew that he had a ton of insights to share with others. To pursue his goal of uplifting people from all over the globe, he took the time to write PAIN!, a mind-boggling novel meant to give readers thrill and excitement while showering them with valuable life lessons. “Sometimes, we take the pain, mixed with suffering, and come out with regrets and displeasure.
