Ayestí Shares How He Went from Being a Top-Ranking Gamer to Establishing His Name in the Music Industry

Ayestí is a name that hip-hop lovers have slowly come to know and love. Popularly known for his storytelling ability and lyricism, the rising artist proves he is one to look out for. While he is popular today for his music, Ayestí had also built his reputation through several early ventures.

Born as Adrian Thomas Townsel from Lima, Ohio, Ayestí’s exhibited potential in entrepreneurship by selling chips and running a lemonade stand. The life he envisioned was far from the nine-to-five jobs that society seemed to force on him. Instead, he wanted to own a barbershop, not as a barber but as the building owner. However, like most people, his goal started to shift as he grew older. Ayestí decided to pursue a career in gaming, thriving in Madden NFL.

Ayestí’s venture proved fruitful, as he ranked in the Top 100 Players in the World for six consecutive years. Realizing how much time it took away from his education, he decided to put his controller down and studied finance for an associate’s degree. Ayestí would later enroll in a six-month audio engineering program, setting him on the path for a music career. Taking the stage name 4gmusiq, the young artist found himself on a meteoric rise that put him on the headlines for various mainstream media outlets. His first single, “Mind Games,” garnered the attention of new and old fans.

The track gained over ten thousand streams in a single month, propelling the artist to superstar status. He would later take his current stage name, Ayestí. Despite the change in branding, he retained his ability to captivate a legion of fans by blending complex melodies, catchy lyrics, and sick beats with every song release. His song, “Martian,” became a certified fan favorite and got featured on thousands of playlists and popular YouTube channels like Royal Vibes and Rap Layer. Ayestí grew his fanbase by combining his music knowledge with an Instagram marketing agency, pushing his followers’ list to nearly 20,000 in two years. Since then, he has made a name for himself by posting one-minute remixes to popular songs.

Recently, Ayestí created his label called VERYRVRE Entertainment. The label provides artists with Instagram growth, music marketing, artist publications, and the eventual prospect of full record deals for promising talents. While running a business can be exhausting, Ayestí still makes the time to continue remixing songs. His remix of “Back in Blood” by rapper Pooh Sheisty generated over 300,000 views (and counting) on Instagram.

Throughout his ventures, Ayestí would always collaborate with local artist SpaceBoii. Despite their frequent collaboration, the duo never had the time to record professionally. Unfortunately, SpaceBoii took his own life, closing that prospect. Ayestí looked to honor his legacy by utilizing SpaceBoii’s music app to release a remix of “Uber Everywhere.” However, he felt it was not right and has since deleted it.

Today, Ayestí continues to build a name for himself in the music industry. Although he has already garnered massive success, Ayestí strives to continue learning more. “I am the type of guy that will learn, learn, and learn. I want to have all the knowledge of a record label and remain one person,” he shared, “There is nothing in the music business that I am not willing to learn and master.”

Ayestí foresees his label growing and achieving worldwide recognition. He is set on helping the next wave of artists push their music out the real way and help them achieve their goals. Ayestí also hopes to collaborate with a long list of artists that he has admired for as long as 1965.Learn more about Ayestí by visiting his official website.
