Aspirants worldwide have to contend with the harsh reality that the road to success may be peppered with a seemingly endless string of obstacles. Hailing from Philadelphia, this powerhouse graduated from Camden County College with a degree in business. After moving away from the four walls of the classroom, she began taking the steps necessary in establishing her name, interning for the renowned celebrity photographer VX Don. For twelve months, Carisha the Diva learned the ropes of the fashion industry under his tutelage, demonstrating the potential to one day lead the space by competently handling fashion show productions, media coverages, and hosting gigs.
From the get-go, Carisha the Diva has been driven not only by the mission of empowering women but also by the goal of addressing the lack of representation of and support for Black journalists and Black-owned media outlets.
“They are excellent at what they do but are not getting the praise and monetary compensation they deserve,” shared the Atlanta-based go-getter.
Armed with the desire to make a difference, she went all-out in her endeavor and managed to take center stage, thanks to her arsenal of skills, impressive work ethic, personability, charisma, and more.
Included in her impressive portfolio of accomplishments is her work in covering the red carpet for the 2009, 2010, and 2011 Philadelphia Fashion Week. This budding household name is also credited for starting her own local fashion shows, a strategic move that solidified her reputation even more solidly and led to the city of Philadelphia taking note of the heavy market for plus-size models and launching Plus Size Fashion Week.
Additionally, Carisha the Diva has collaborated with Momma Dee on a fashion event for VH1, Atlanta Fashion Week, Walk Fashion Atlanta, and many other popular productions. Out of the long list of initiatives under her belt, she is the proudest of spearheading the Women Empowerment Fashion Show, which honored women in the entertainment industry for their hard work.
Currently, the well-respected figure is inching closer to the forefront of the industry with the launch of Live with Carisha, a show where she sits down and facilitates in-depth one-on-one interviews with various celebrities and talents. To date, her web series has been graced by a roster of celebrities such as KOTD Corey Charron, Pooh Shiesty, Mulatto, Foogiano, Columbus Short, Fabo, Pap Chanel, Benny The Butcher, Mr.Hotspot, and Councilman Antonio Brown, to name a few. In the coming months, Carisha the Diva is set to interview more established authorities as she continues to carve a path toward the summit.
Despite the heights she has reached so far, Carisha the Diva, who is now the newest face on Fox Soul, shows no sign of slowing down as the host of Catalogz Unplugged.
