Dr. Dunne brings an impressive set of credentials to her work at CVCU – she holds a Ph.D. in human development, two master’s degrees in communication and organizational systems, has written six books in the social science realm, and taught at the university level for 20 years. She is also a radio show host and speaker who continues to help other churches across the United States use their open buildings to establish community-impacting schools built on GenZ and Alpha learning modalities.
CVCU’s three pillars of education – a mentor-driven, faith-based, debt-free model – set it apart from traditional colleges. The school uses circles instead of rows, dialogue instead of lectures, and training with practitioners to develop real-world, problem-solving skills. It is also more affordable than most private institutions, offering tuition starting at around $12K per year rather than the average of $40K charged by private universities.
Dr. Dunne has earned recognition for her work as an innovative educator, having been recognized by the City and County of San Francisco for her work in the two-year college system and by the California State Senate for her impact in the university system. She was awarded teacher of the year in Roseville, CA as well as commended in Who’s Who among America’s teachers in both Florida and California. As a writer she is the recipient of awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and the Florida Community College Press Association.
CVCU is home to a world-class faculty team that includes leading epigenetics specialist Dr. Donald Adema; paleobiochemist Dr. Brian Thomas; international leadership coach David Baldwin; and Well Versed founder and global speaker Dr. Jim Garlow.
This summer, CVCU will see its first large campus expansion with the addition of new state-of-the-art, sustainable classrooms. While their cohorts will remain at the optimal 15 students for individual attention, the expansion will allow them to increase enrollment to accommodate up to 100 students.
