There is no doubt that visionary entrepreneur Elena Kaminskiy is a natural-born inventor with a lot of innovative ideas in her mind. What started out as a simple attempt to find a workable solution to her sleeping dilemma turned out to be the doorway to an exciting venture that would change her life forever. Coming up with her distinct pillow design did not come easy. Elena spent endless months researching and purchasing pillows that took pride in their anti-wrinkle products in the market, only to be disappointed by the actual results. The emerging inventor discovered a common feature among all the pillows she tested—they shared a design problem. They were all flat. They only had cutouts for the cheek area. Unfortunately, the cheeks never really land perfectly on those cutouts. After her realization, Elena Kaminskiy knew that she had to come up with something new and useful.
She started to brainstorm and created her own prototypes. She would purchase materials and foam from the craft store. As can be expected of any inventor, the trial and error process began. It took her 20 prototypes until she finally perfected her product, which would later become the Flawless Face Pillow.
“I designed this pillow to help me sleep on my back all night and would also allow me to move to my sides without having my skin come into contact with my flat pillow,” she explained. “The pillow is super soft, comfortable, and comes with a custom satin pillow cover. We also design and manufacture our pillows in the USA.”
Flawless Face Pillow’s launching proved to be a huge success as Elena Kaminskiy quickly grew her following. In a short period of time, she has amassed a loyal customer base of dermatologists who recommend her product to their patients, celebrities, and everyday women across the globe. Ultimately, Elena wanted to share her joy with the rest of the world and see more and more women wake up satisfied. If anything, she has come up with one of the best aids to genuine beauty sleep.
“When I wanted to start the Flawless Face Pillow, I didn’t even have a name figured out yet. I had an idea and a genuine desire to see this product out in the market, helping other women as it helped me. I had zero experience bringing a product to market. But what I did have was a determination to make it happen, no matter what. I made a promise to myself that I was going to do whatever it took,” she said.
Elena Kaminskiy is married with three beautiful children. She was originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. When she was three years old, her family moved to the United States with very few resources. This compelled her father to work multiple jobs in order to meet the family’s needs. In time, her father was able to come up with his own janitorial services and coffee shop. Elena had the privilege of working with him throughout her childhood, and it was during that season in her life that she began to understand the value of hard work.
She moved to San Diego after getting married in 2005 and with her husband started a handyman company. The venture eventually transformed into a full-service design and remodeling company. They also invest in real estate projects and love to travel with the family.
