FashZip: The Innovative Mobile App Where Fashion Retail Meets Technology

Shopping online and getting an order at one’s doorstep in less than two hours may seem like a far-fetched idea. But FashZip has made it possible, standing by their statement: “Get your delivery in the amount of time it takes to deliver a pizza.” The mobile app is creating waves in the fashion industry, especially amid the pandemic.

FashZip caters to business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients across the country. As an app that is similar to DoorDash and UberEats but that focuses on fashion retailers, the mobile app is genuinely reshaping how people shop. The efficient technology provides customers with a unique experience where they can shop at any fashion retailer partnered with the app within a 15-mile radius from their location and have their items delivered straight to their doorstep by trustworthy drivers called Zippers.

FashZip also allows businesses to grow at a faster rate by reaching more clients in their community. The mobile app is equipped with enough drivers in every city where it is available. FashZip prides itself on offering one of the most competitive pays for its drivers in the industry. Their Zippers and other employees enjoy health benefits, bonuses, vacations, advancement opportunities, and investment opportunities, as the company’s way of paying its success forward to the people behind it. Once a year, Zippers have the chance to earn a car, which is one of the biggest incentives that FashZip provides.

Additionally, FashZip ensures that their customer’s information is secured with state-of-the-art technology. There have also been issues of robberies, fights, and violence between customers fighting over a product. To address this issue, the app allows customers to order at the closest store possible, and it brings the product to them promptly.

Furthermore, FashZip’s partner stores get exclusive annual discounts, trial opportunities, featured advertisements, phenomenal growth rate, and increased accessibility. Fashion retailers are among those who have been heavily hit by the COVID-19 pandemic as people opted to shop online because of the inevitable health risks of shopping in physical stores. FashZip bridges the gap between online shopping and brick and mortar stores, all in one app.

FashZip was co-founded by Shoppa Wright and Patience Davoren. In 2013, Shoppa’s daughter was admitted due to her heart complications from her HLHS. Shopping was the father’s way of uplifting his daughter’s spirit, but because they had to stay in the hospital, they turned to online shopping instead. Unfortunately, Shoppa’s daughter passed away. Shortly after her passing, a package came for them at the hospital from one of their online shopping adventures.

Shoppa realized how inefficient online shopping systems were then. Shoppa discovered an even bigger issue with some research called “The Retail Apocalypse,” where many entrepreneurs closed their doors for several reasons. In 2016, Shoppa met Patience, who had the same experiences in the past. Shoppa worked in the tech industry, while Patience had experience in human relations. Together, they wanted to present a timely solution to the problem.

“Once we discovered this problem, we ran into the development of a few other problems such as unemployment issues, salary problems, and the many needs to grow in the market for different areas,” shared Shoppa. “The motivation for building the brand of FashZip came from the things that we’ve experienced or seen in our personal lives,” he added.

FashZip aims to service all shopping areas in the country in five years. “This spring, we are starting with our two home states in New York and Georgia. From there, we will be expanding to the locations voted by all of our fans and customers,” said Shoppa. Indeed, FashZip is opening a new era for fashion retail and technology.
