How Anne-Krystel Goyer Makes Top-Quality Luxury Fragrance More Accessible

The best fragrances are often more concentrated, which translates to higher prices. But Anne-Krystel Goyer has set out to offer luxury fragrances at a more affordable price, making top-quality perfumes more accessible to a broader audience.

Anne-Krystel Goyer has a background in fashion, but perfumes have always been a fascination of hers. She sees formulating a scent as something akin to designing an expertly crafted garment. So while designers play with colors, materials, cuts, and patterns, perfumers can play around with a formula that will dictate the combinations and concentrations of each scent component.

Her research and passion for fragrance have led Anne-Krystel Goyer into the world of luxury perfumes. In collaboration with a team of certified perfumers in Provence, Anne-Krystel Goyer developed her first Extrait de Parfum, which she named Anne-Krystel8

Unlike most perfumes available on the market that most people may be familiar with, Anne-Krystel chose to make a rare fragrance. Extrait de Parfum is the type of fragrance with the highest concentration, with no added water. Extraits de Parfum have the best quality available on the market. This is the version of the scent these highly trained perfumers create themselves, while others make lesser concentrations of the fragrance based on this original formula.

Anne-Krystel Goyer chose to create a line of Extrait de Parfum because she values the art and the science that goes into creating this type of perfume. She explained, “An Extrait de Parfum has a higher quality than Eau de parfum, eau de toilette, or eau de cologne. Most people wearing perfumes may not realize that they are not wearing real perfume, but rather a less concentrated version of it.”

Anne-Krystel Goyer’s Extrait Anne-Krystel8 features top notes of pear, raspberry, gardenia, and mandarin of Sicily. The heart notes give off a mixture of rose, neroli, and lavender, and the fragrance is rounded off and grounded by base notes of white musk and amber leather. These fragrance notes represent the qualities of the ideal woman: confident, strong, and refined.

Aside from women’s fragrances, Anne-Krystel has also developed an Extrait de Parfum for men called AK47, which is more masculine and calls to mind a man who is confident, mysterious, and determined. It is an earthier scent, with notes of light florals for a touch of brightness. The top notes are a combination of bergamot, lemon, and sage. These blend into the heart notes of lavender, jasmine and juniper. The base is warm and solid, featuring cedar, sandalwood, and oak moss.

Well-being is definitely important for her. She said, “I want people to wear my fragrances to find themselves in a state of confidence and calm. I know fragrances influence various mental and physical human conditions.”

At such concentrated levels, an Extrait de Parfum is often an expensive luxury item. Unfortunately, not all brands carry this type of perfume; when they do, they often offer limited bottles of it due to the astronomical price. Because they are the most expensive types of perfumes, only a few have heard of them. But Anne-Krystel Goyer wants to change that by providing these fragrances at more accessible prices. She said, “I sell top-quality fragrances at a good price because I want all people to be able to buy them.”

Aside from her best-selling Extrait de perfumes, Anne-Krystel Goyer also offers other beauty products from other brands she likes on her website, such as face oils, moisturizers, and serums.

Anne-Krystel Goyer also has a philanthropic side that complements her passion for fragrance and skincare. She donates a portion of her revenue to the David Lynch Foundation, an organization that provides healing and empowerment through an evidence-based transcendental meditation technique. “Scents and fragrance can affect our well-being,” Anne-Krystel explained. “Through my brand and our charitable efforts, I hope to contribute to the well-being of many others as well.”
