Independent Artist El Bosso Shares How He Overcame His Insecurities to Pursue His Music Career

Everyone is more than capable of achieving great things in life. However, growth can be stunted due to circumstances beyond their grasp. The financial aspect and a lack of the proper resources can be a roadblock that most people find challenging to overcome. However, while those things can be overcome over time, people’s greatest trial can be from within. El Bosso is an artist on the rise who endured such tribulations to be where he is today.

El Bosso, born Bryan Jones, is an independent artist based in Florida whose endeavors started over a decade ago. For as long as he can remember, the rising artist held music close to his chest. The depth of his passion was shared by his grandmother, who often played songs for him growing up. However, his love for music only grew as he befriended people who shared his passion and created their own music.

Surrounded by musicians, El Bosso followed in their footsteps, writing his own songs and building the foundations of his future career around 2011. The years that followed saw him performing in the local scene. Eventually, El Bosso got his big break one night when he was playing in a club. From there, his development took great leaps. However, tragedy befell him in 2015 when the artist suffered a heart attack.

The incident shook El Bosso to the point where his development was stunted. Following the heart attack, the artist put his career on hiatus as he attempted to rebuild himself. However, fear had slowly crept up to him. El Bosso grew anxious, and his insecurities rendered him unable to create anything for a long time. When he could conjure up some works, El Bosso would hide them, afraid of receiving words of discouragement.

Eventually, El Bosso overcame his fears, releasing his first single in 2019 called ‘10am.’ The song depicts another tragedy that befell his family as El Bosso narrates how he and his son dealt with a home invasion. Fortunately, no one in the house was injured. Realizing how short life was, the artist broke free from the reins of insecurity to make his comeback.

Since then, the artist has been busy putting together a series of tracks for his comeback album. Titled ‘Bosso,’ the album serves as a testament to the years of dedication and hard work he put into his craft. The four-track album provides old listeners a rush of adrenaline as the artist brings out his best lyrical output so far, rolling his verses to cement his return to the music scene. New listeners find themselves immersed in the rhythm that blends perfectly with his beats.

El Bosso strives to reach out to the next generation and uplift their spirits, inspiring them to carry on with their dreams despite their self-doubts. “You’re not the only one to have those thoughts and insecurities,” he said, “You yourself can overcome them in the blink of an eye if you just believe in yourself and move forward.”

Additionally, the artist is aware of how social media can play a role in one’s self-esteem and urges the youth to ignore the number of likes and traffic. El Bosso emphasizes how people are always looking even when they believe no one is. “All it takes is just for the right person to look at you at the right time.”
