Note: The photo above is a photo on Friday June 26,2009 at the 9:30 Club Washington D.C with Who’s Bad on the day on the which coincidentally turned out to be my mother Kathryn Janet’s Birthday unforgettably The 1st day after the world lost the icon, The King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The show was booked months in advance but became a double show sung live including media from around the world. It was reported that some flew from the O2 Arena in London. Joseph now known as Jobel Star and band manager Vamsi Tadepalli faced a sea of cameras and news reporters asking “What do you have to say?”
This lead singer of Who’s Bad, the Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band, Joseph Bell’s musical journey has had massive success throughout the years. As Jobel JOBEL Star the artist has a striking resemblance to the King of Pop, which garnered him tons of acclaim and international attention.
During the heyday of Who’s Bad, Joseph Jobel Star and his bandmates had successful tours one after the other. However, tragedy struck when Jobel was hospitalized with Bronchitis and a form of skin cancer. Doctors and nutritionists did all that they could to help him at the time. He was in a horrible state, his hair was falling out of his head, and Michael Jackson’s latest hairstylist, Lynda Parrish, came to visit him. His mother, Kathryn, also came to visit to see his son’s current condition.
At the time, Jobel Star felt like he was on his deathbed. For a while he could barely speak or sing, He was unable to do radio interviews displaying his lyric tenor vocal tone and range he was noted for. Overall, Jobel and Who’s Bad considered that the show must go on yet his health was deteriorating slowly being a challenge he would somehow have to overcome.Fortunately, he had an expert team of doctors and nutritionists who took care of him every step of the way. He had a speedy recovery and went on tour once he got back on his feet. He felt weak, though, and eventually, he couldn’t sing anymore due to his previous condition.
Then without a moment’s notice, Jobel Star was suddenly fired from Who’s Bad. Jobel and the band’s drummer had some form of conflict, which eventually led to the decision. His time with Who’s Bad was officially over, but he did not let that stop him from continuing to perform on the big stage.
Now more than ever, Jobel Star has been making his way into the music industry by flying solo. The man is on a mission to change the world through the power of music, much like his inspiration, the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. Jobel’s breakout comeback tracks include “Said I’m Back” and “Save Our World Infinity,” which aim to send a powerful message to the world resonating with people from different walks of life.
Jobel Star also performed the same songs when he was with Who’s Bad, opening for two of their previous shows. The talented musician is back and better than ever. Despite all of the struggles that he had faced, he is finally back on stage and back on his solitary mission. He also wishes his bandmates at Who’s Bad well. He fully understands that sometimes bands go through creative differences, and he fully respects their decision.
In the wake of the recent COVID-19 global pandemic, Jobel Star also came to a serious realization about his own health. 50 mg Zinc, 10,00 IU of D3, and a high tolerable amount of Vitamin C were brought to his attention by a Dr. Eric Nepute on Facebook. “Where was this information? I had a D3 deficiency for this long?” says Jobel Star. “What a relief! Miraculous!” claims Jobel. This prompted him to take better care of his health from here on out. “You know, life has a way of teaching you lessons,” shares Jobel.
Jobel Star states that having 9 cavities filled with poisonous mercury with straying particles in his body after face protected dentists removed the mercury, plus very little to none of the above nutrients, an unsuspecting sugar addiction to sweets, desserts and to top it off, most recently a heart threatening bad tooth infection received a root canal which low and behold he claims “resurrected” him and his vocal range and overall well being. Jobel clearly states “I’M BACK” with energy and power better than before. Throughout everything he has been through, Jobel Star has learned and persists with dreams of passing new visions to others.
Today Jobel Star continues to inspire others through his own brand of music. He remains to be a powerful force in the music industry, doing it not just for himself but also for the late and great Michael Jackson with special notice of 3 others lost so tragically: Prince, Luther Vandross, and Whitney Houston.
As a comeback, Jobel presents to the fan fans 5 albums: THE FORCE (MJ), LET ME BE THERE FOR YOU (Luther/Whitney), BLIND DANGER, SHUTDOWN (Prince)) and ALL IS YOU(Marvin G). Many were songs written to place on The King Of Pop. Jobel’s passion for Human Rights is represented with heart touching “Save Our World Infinity,” and Beyond Human. The Legend Continues which address concerns we all hear on the news worldwide most notably vaccination and racial tension. Hits such as My Heart’s Beating For You ,Same Shit Different Day and the R&B Rock ballad WANT FROM ME World Premiere are true evidence that the time is now for Jobel Star.
“I want to help Michael continue somehow, some way but I have to speak from my heart as I have always done while singing his songs. Jobel states I am honored to have my original compositions finally seeing the light I’m moving forward, but not by myself. I’m just bringing Michael with me for. All of this could not be without THE FORCE. I promise you.”
