Laviedeeric Setting Up for an Explosive ‘Lonely Nights’ Album Release

Music isn’t what it once was. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s not worse, but it’s definitely different. And in a time of shifting trends and oversaturated music circles, it’s the different artists that stand out today. Laviedeeric is precisely that- different.

A musician with two highly successful albums under his belt, Eric Matamba, aka Laviedeeric, hopes to make his third record the deal that seals his music influence once and for all. Eric’s upcoming album is entitled “Lonely Nights” and promises a batch of material that people have never experienced from other artists in the past.

A self-taught musician, producer, and artist, the self-proclaimed new age Omari West and “Pretty Boi” of the East Coast’s music scene has a unique blend of styles and sounds that make his music remarkable. His genre transcends today’s more pop-based material and stamps a seal on listeners’ memories almost instantly.

Eric Matamba came from a first-generation African-French immigrant family who moved to Maryland to pursue the American Dream. The Matamba family comes from a line of people from Congo and Togo and grew a reputation amongst circles as a family of creatives. Eric’s siblings were part of other creative endeavors like modeling, fashion, and social living. For Eric, music would become his passion for many years to come. He spent a lot of time in Africa and Europe growing up, mainly in Belgium and Paris. After moving to the States, Eric would live the better part of his teenage years in the DMV area.

After high school, La Vie would attend Drexel University to study Law, where his whole life would experience a paradigm shift. During these times, he discovered and dived down deep into his love for music production and songwriting. By the time he finished college, he had decided to pursue a career in music.

La Vie’s passion for music stems from his lifelong inspiration and goal to enrich as many lives as he can, even if that means it only reaches one person; that’s more than enough. He shares, “Ultimately, my goal is to create music that helps people through the highs and lows of life, as much as music helps me through them, I want to remind everyone that apart from whatever challenges you may face in life, you’ll get through it, and you can do whatever you put your mind to. You just gotta believe that you can.”

Laviedeeric started working with influencers and YouTubers to create beats for other artists. Eric would then launch his debut album “PBB,” short for Parisian Pretty Boi, which would stir up a clamor for his unique-sounding brand of electric house music with a mix of hip hop. He would follow that up with his sophomore album, “Stay,” which would surpass the first release’s success.

Today, the artist out of Maryland looks to launch another hard-hitting collection that will give his fans something to rave about amidst these challenging times. “Lonely Nights” promises to be one of La Vie’s best collections as he collaborates with other influencers and artists who have made significant waves in entertainment. Eric is working on some materials with other music icons like Cyrus Dobre, Lil Mosey, Lil Pump, Tory Lanez, and many others.

Eric Matamba also seeks to help others through his music. The artist has recently started working with The Impossible Group and No Kid Hungry Foundation to help fight the debilitating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the youth. Through his upcoming projects, Eric pledges to channel proceeds of his endeavors to feeding the hungry and homeless in an act of kindness and generosity. Laviedeeric believes that his best music is ahead of him. So stay tuned and keep an eye out for “Lonely Nights,” which will come out later this year.
