The paradigms are shifting in our ever-growing world. However, it is still an undeniable fact that women have been getting the short end of the stick when it comes to societal norms. It is often a difficult thing to grasp, but women need to work much harder in order to achieve the goals that they have set up for themselves. Marine Corps veteran Ashley Lynn Cain knows all of this too well, which is why she has taken it upon herself to inspire women all over the world with her first book entitled A Woman’s Guide to Survival: In a Pinch.
As an up-and-coming author and single mother, Ashley Lynn Cain had to face countless challenges to get to where she is today. Having no connections in the publishing industry, she found herself going from one publisher to another only to get turned down repeatedly. In spite of all the rejection she faced, she never let it faze her. Instead, she strived to pursue more publishing opportunities until she finally decided not to rely on the approval of publishing companies and became a self-published author, manifesting her own destiny in the process.
She took the risk knowing full well that her book will be worth far more when it manages to reach the women who need to read it most. As a single mother raising two beautiful children, the entire experience was quite an uphill battle, but she persevered through each obstacle and is now finally looking to release her book, giving her great fulfilment to have done it without relying on anyone else but herself.
“I was tired of the doors being closed in my face, so I made my own doorway, and that’s when I began writing my own novels and publishing them on my own,” explained Ashley. The idea for her book started to manifest when she took a step back and reflected on how far she had come as a person and a single mother of two. Deep inside her, she knew somebody out there was waiting to hear her story and be inspired by it.
“It all started with journal writing, and eventually I realized as the years went on some of the best advice that I learned in life was from myself,” shared the up-and-coming author. “I noticed myself making the same mistakes over and over again, and eventually decided to bring those thoughts and pieces of advice together by writing a book dedicated to women.”
Some day, Ashley hopes to become a New York Times Best-Selling Author, allowing her works to deeply resonate with people all over the world. She also hopes to venture into writing children’s books, a way for her to connect with her children and leave a lasting legacy for them in the future.
Ashley Lynn Cain is a multi-talented individual, hoping to delve into the music industry as she plans on getting a music degree in the near future. She hopes to work hard and pursue a music career and collaborate with some of the biggest music labels in the industry today. She is a beacon of light for women all over the world, taking matters into her own hands and creating something out of nothing all by herself.
