Meet the Jamaican Actress, Jessica Banks, Who Has Successfully Fulfilled the Creative Roles of an Actress, Director, and a Screenwriter.

Every person has unique personality features and attributes that make them who they are. Speaking of acting, not everyone is cut out to be an actor because certain qualities are required. A crucial quality to possess is the capacity to toy with one’s emotions. Besides acting, there are other creative professions like filmmaking that have a distinct idea attached to them. One more feather in the cap is screenwriting, which helps build appealing characters, an engaging storyline, and a clear sense of when and how to use drama.

One such personality who is an amalgamation of all three is Jessica Banks, also known as Jay Banks, who is well-known for her roles in The G.A.P Kids Show, We Are All Artists, and The Last O.G. The Jamaican actress has found success in both music and cinema, as she also plays the role of a D.J.. Following in her father’s footsteps, Banks became a D.J. at the young age of 12 and released her first mixtape at the age of 15.

Banks also has her own production house called DavisBanks Productions, through which she directed, acted in, and produced the movie ‘The Tables Turn.’ She is currently working on its second part  “When The Tables Turn: Reservation For 2.”

Jessica is also a philanthropist who advocates for the rights of LGBTQ people and donates her time and money to the less privileged. She is an excellent example of someone who has not only used her talent to its full potential but has also contributed to societal issues.

In an interview, Jessica shared her long-term goal of bringing forward stories of interpersonal relationships in today’s trying modern times. She aims to act in multiple movies streaming on different platforms.

As a great believer in karma, Jessica suggests everyone treat one another with mutual respect and be open to different cultures and all walks of life.
