As children, we aspire to be many great things. From regular day jobs like doctors and firefighters to massive dreams like astronauts, childhood ambitions can change from time to time depending on what children are exposed to. For Angela Ayala, performance and modeling was always the goal. Whereas most people abandon their interests over time, Angela has remained persistent in her pursuit and has been reaping her rewards.
Angela Ayala comes from a diverse cultural background. She is of Colombian, Italian, Irish, and German descent, giving her a uniquely exotic but commercial look. With a colorful background, Angela can speak both English and Spanish fluently. Since she was young, Angela has always been passionate about the arts.
“All my home videos growing up are composed of creating runways everywhere,” Angela laughed, recalling her upbringing, “I was strutting the catwalk like I was a Victoria’s Secret model of spending my time creating fantasy scenarios with characters I imagined myself and then forcing everyone around me to play dress up.”
The social media influencer’s dad saw how talented she was as a child. Looking to push her towards her dreams, he enrolled Angela in a modeling school. There she picked up the techniques that professionals shared and learned more about the industry, jet starting her career. Once Angela started modeling professionally, she developed her own network to help her navigate through the industry. “I never officially signed to an agency because I booked everything,” Angela shared.
While it was a risky move as agencies had a better way of booking gigs, Angela Ayala was able to stand out on her own. Since then, she has appeared as the lead in several music videos for artists like Pitbull, Pusha T, and Jay Cortez. Angela has also appeared on television, making guest appearances on Spanish networks like Telemundo and Mega TV. Additionally, the model shot for campaigns like the Miami Heat and has even received the opportunity to become a brand ambassador for some of the biggest brands like Red Bull and Muscle Milk.
After an illustrious career in modeling for over a decade, Angela’s passion and curiosity for acting burned brighter than ever. She would receive the opportunity to pursue the dream when Tonio Skits of Wild ‘N Out reached out to her for a role in his next skit. The project was well-received by fans and went rival, giving her a more significant following. Tonio reached out to her again to film three more projects. The spotlight opened doors for her leading her to join the psychological thriller film Carolina, where she played the role of Molly Mendez. Carolina received a nomination for best picture at the Los Angeles Film Awards.
There is more to Angela Ayala than her beauty and acting gift. She is a creative storyteller, tastemaker, and wellness advocate who uses her platform as a social media influencer to encourage her followers to pursue their goals. “It’s never too late to chase your dreams,” Angela constantly tells her followers, “It took me a while to find the courage and let go of the fear to chase my passion for acting, but I’m finally doing it.”
Angela Ayala attributes her success to her father, who passed away from cancer. His encouragement and support became the light that guided her towards her dreams. Angela’s eyes are fixed on the future with more projects on the horizon. She foresees more opportunities in Netflix productions as she is currently working on another film.
