Nayan Raj Panday Climbs the Summits of Success While Bringing the Nepali Film Scene to the Global Arena

The growing saturation of today’s industries and their inherent competitive nature have driven go-getters to become relentless in the pursuit of their dreams. However, despite pulling out all the stops, success is not guaranteed. Individuals not only have to contend with the harsh reality that comes hand in hand with hailing from humble beginnings, but others also need to overcome several adversities and face the truth that naysayers block them from fulfilling their dreams. In the case of Nayan Raj Panday, his encounters with doors being closed on his face and people failing to acknowledge his potential served as great fuel behind his drive to establish a name in the entertainment realm. Through his accomplishments, he not only wishes to secure a coveted spot at the summits of his chosen trade but also hopes to shed some light on the eminence of Nepali films.

Since dipping his toes into the trade, Nayan Raj Panday is intimately privy to the challenges that come with establishing a name across a highly cutthroat industry. However, unlike countless people who have had to encounter innumerable careers and expose themselves to a wealth of experiences before deciding what to pursue, this determined personality has always been fixed on one goal: to become an actor. Amid the number of naysayers, this Nepali native strived to overcome challenges, attempting to climb the pinnacles of greatness with a gilt-edged vision. “I did not choose to have other options. If I had options, I would never have fully dedicated myself to what I wanted from the get-go,” shared the Texas-based go-getter. “I believe in having a plan B, not a goal B,” he added.

After some time, he retired from method acting and went back to commercial acting content, his short films, Kuri Rakha La (directed by Kedar Uprety), Cockroach (directed by Rabin Adhikari), PremPatra (filmed by Avash / Utsab/ Nayan) are in post-production right now. The teams are working on finishing their film festival submissions.

So with all the experience of living the character’s life as a method actor, Nayan’s resume looks good to make an impact on more audiences in the near future.

In the coming years, more can be expected from this Nepali superstar. Apart from being recognized for snagging multiple nominations under his belt, Nayan Raj Panday is on his way to dominating the international scene, bringing the Nepali film industry to the global stage. Through this, he hopes to bridge the gap in the entertainment arena, opening doors of opportunities for many young Nepali dreamers across the country.
