Operation Love Ministries, Inc. is a 501c (3) Faith-based NGO based in North Hollywood that aims to address the holistic needs of the hurting, hungry people all over the world, meeting them wherever they may be. Doing its service for over 17 years now, the organization has been sharing the Love of Jesus locally and globally through words of encouragement and various acts of kindness.
At the core of Operation Love Ministries, Inc. is a demeanor of unconditional love, respect, and dignity that they believe is not offered to those who are homeless and broken. Founder and Executive Director, Rev. Pastor Connie Cobb, says that “[their] services focus on those who are perceived to be the least the last and the lost. Our Heart is to seek justice, love, mercy, and walk humbly with our God and make a better world.”
Operation Love Ministries, Inc. aims to lend a helping hand to some of the most vulnerable people in the world today: the homeless, street children, the elderly, the hungry, the needy, the orphaned – doing so through multiple programs that address many of their needs. One of the main programs that Operation Love Ministries, Inc. does is community-based feedings and distribution of medical and hygiene supplies. Currently, Operation Love Ministries, Inc. is also delivering groceries and hot home-cooked Sunday dinners to the homeless living under bridges and tents.
Aside from food and clothing assistance, Operation Love Ministries, Inc. also conducts many different programs that aim to help with the holistic needs of the vulnerable. These aforementioned programs include distribution of block parties with toy giveaways at Christmas and Easter, Gospel Hip-Hop concerts, and monetary donations to needy churches and orphanages.
While Operation Love Ministries, Inc. is based in North Hollywood, their reach does not end there as they also bring their service to the people of Skid Row as well those in the Greater San Fernando Valley area. The organization’s reach also extends outside of America, as they regularly partake in summer mission trips to many different developing countries. Their global missions have taken them all over the world, including countries like Morocco, Kenya, Haiti, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Panama, and Costa Rica.
Ultimately, Operation Love Ministries, Inc., believes in the intrinsic value of all people, as they deliver their services with love, respect, and dignity, whether they may be on the streets of Skid Row, in the slums of Liberia, or in the mountains of Costa Rica.
